How to attach plastic kick panel on drivers side footwell?

Anyone know how to attach the plastic kick panel on the drivers side? Looks like it covers the hard top wiring harness. Ours is only attached by one screw at the back and is very loose. I can replace the missing clip and screw in the center position, which will help, but not sure what to do at the front. There’s a smooth pin sticking out from the body, and a larger, recessed hole in the kick plate. Is there some sort of friction nut/cap that is supposed to go there? I’ve included a picture below. This is a ‘98 Sahara, if that makes a difference. Thanks!

IIRC that stud uses a friction nut, but it's the only one (shown as "pivot nut" below). There are three plastic expanding trim screws that hold the trim into place. Your wiring harness should have three clips taped to it that also attach to the bottom of that piece of trim.

I've used vacuum tubing (with 1/8" or 3/16" id) to hold it in place.
