Rust isn't a concern in Texas , overpaying is anywhere.

Make sure it runs out, shifts and drives nice if you are giving them more than you feel you should ...and don't if you are just trying to get a Jeep before summer ends. There a lot of them out there.

IF you are not sure about inspecting the Jeep; do you have any friends to help you to inspect the Jeep?
IF you are satisfied with the Jeep after inspecting for rust; you can lower the price by $750 and see what the seller says.
As others have posted.... IF you are not sure about this Jeep; there are a lot of other Jeeps for sale.

Looks like an LJ. Keep in mind that the LJ is extended 10” over a normal TJ and will probably cost more. Frame and skid look clean and nothing appears painted over on the underside. Looks like it’s spent a lot of time with the top off though.

Faded out interior plastics and padding, surface rust on the bolts and floors, pulled carpet and drain plugs.

It's a hard top, so they probably left the top off for the summer.
got it. thanks for pointing this out. i am a rookie. How much should i discount that by?

Not much.. New carpet and a refresh of the interior won't cost much. Most jeeps this age will need going trough, if you're wanting a more comfortable and clean interior.

thanks for the info. So what would you think is a fair price for this LJ with 90k miles on it?

They do sell for a premium. I don't really follow the pricing on LJs as much as some of the other guys on here, so I wouldn't have the best pricing info. Plus I prefer the TJs as a personal preference.

Sorry, those photos are of little to no help.

We need to see photos of the frame rails, notably where the transfer case skid plate attaches to the frame, as well as the control arm mounts where they attach to the frame.

It would go for $12,000 tops in GC where I live (depending on the year). I paid $9500 for my one owner 03' TX Rubicon when it was stock.

Just looks like surface rust. You won’t know until you feel the inside of the frame but from the outside it looks fine.

should i be concerned about the rust on this pic?

Looks like a tube step was welded on and never cleaned up and painted. If so, it looks a little hacked up to me.
Possibly a step bar that wasn't made for the jeep was stick welded and notched into the control arm bracket.

This definitely would be something that would bother me.
