Nice Jeep! I knew you had a 5.3 but I didn’t know you were to rocking it in a Sahara!

I love the 5.3 and keeping the stick. Seems like everybody puts a slushbox behind their v8 swaps. Where's the link to you build? 😁

This site is a great teacher. It is not a stick. It is a 4l60 automatic. Automatics are the wave of the future. Corvettes are not even avaible in a manual transmission.

That's hilarious.

I have a manual and an auto Rubi.

The 4-1 crawl in the manual with a thumb throttle is impressive. The automatic is even better. Puts more power to the ground, effortless off road. I love them both.

They're also not available with an auto.

It's a DCT, different beast. But mechanically closer to a stick than an auto, no torque converter.

"Automatics are the wave of the future..."

I've been hearing this bullshit since at least 1976, when I heard it from my high school driver's ed instructor. While they do have their place, its "only in America" for the most part that everyone insists on automatics, power windows/seats/locks - and touch screens and the rest...

I have 3 cars, two of them are sticks, and I'm starting to think about converting the other one to a stick as well "next time" it needs a new transmission. It won't be easy, but its doable. Its amazing how the same damn car that's sold worldwide is "Automatic Only" in effete North America, but stick everywhere else.

Jamison C - Since you are from Sedona, do they still have pink jeep tours there?
Oh yes! They’re a multimillion dollar company now. Ironically, the majority of their fleet still consists of TJs and LJs! You can kind of see three of them in the picture below (all LJs).

Corvettes
Not to derail....but man I'd be so whacked out if I'd bought a Corvette in the last few years. The new design is fantastic. Supercar. It's is so good it's going kill values.

I was hoping this was a stick aswell. 5.3 must be about the perfect amount of power in a TJ. Forest green and tan Sahara interiors are my fav. Nice pics.
