Finally changing from my swing out tire carrier/bumper combo to a door mounted tire strengthening kit so I dont have to mess with that thing anymore. So I plan on getting a new rear bumper. Looking for some suggestions for something minimal/small/ lightweight for $200 or under. Recovery points are ideal but hitch not so much. Some pictures and links would be helpful👍

You can get really basic ones that just double up the crossmember:
https://genright.com/products/tj-lj-yj-rear-bumper-plate-with-tow-points.htmlI’ve had good experiences with Genright products.

https://affordableoffroad.com/shop/rear-flush-mount-bumper-jeepyjtjlj-87-06/(I have no experience with this company.)

Also google “TJ rear flush mount bumper” and you’ll get a few more options.

If you get one with recovery points, be sure to get frame brace brackets. It isn’t unheard of to tear the rear crossmember off of the frame.

I have the Genright. It is pretty sturdy, but I believe there are better designs out there that wrap underneath the bottom of the frame. Without that protection, the rear gas tank mount can get smashed. This issue isn't something that makes me want to run out and buy a new bumper immediately, but if I was planning on hitting the rocks and had to buy a plate bumper today, I'd go with another company like NextVenture.

Next Venture or SWAG are the ones to look at. Both have options for a receiver. Unlike Genright and Barnes, both wrap the underside of the crossmember.

I got the Swag bumper. I modified it a bit as I was not happy with the recovery points they sent so I used some nicer ones when I welded it up.

If you want an actual bumper, LoD makes some inexpensive ones (under $200) made in the USA.

I really liked my Swag rear bumper on my last LJ. It looked great with the CJ tailgate conversion, the step was nice to face and the hitch worked great for the small trailers I’d use on occasion or my bike rack. I’d love to get another one for my current LJ. Right now it looks like they’re only selling the kit and not it fully assembled, which is too bad. I can get a couple of plates together but welding that is definitely beyond my ability. It’s over your budget and has more than you asked for, but it’s super versatile.

Here are a few of mine:
