What did you do to your TJ today?

Lightly scuffed and Re sprayed the hardtop I bought last fall. Previous owners quick touch up job was starting to flake off in various areas. Seriously considering selling it and just sticking with the soft top lol

So some dude just drove 3 hrs one way to look at my kid's Jeep...opens the hood and says "Oh, I thought it was a six, I need to pull a trailer." Alex is like" the ad says 2.5, 4 cyl". But the guy really liked it otherwise🤦‍♂️
We dropped it off at another high traffic area and I thought I'd snap a quick pic:

It sure took long enough to get here. I "think" I have the CB radio bezel ready to go, I'll see if I encounter any problems. I knew this was going to be a challenge going in as I'm bastardizing something into something else that it wasn't intended to be - but it was a bit more than I had anticipated. Apparently "double DIN" isn't 2X single DIN in height which I expected to a degree - but the shocker was the width, or lack of it. I had to widen both the internal bracket spacing as well as the Metra escutcheon opening.

Pressed in the new ball joints on the donor axle. Posted this solution to my loose ball joints/hole too big problem in the "how to" thread already but I'm also sharing here, either to help someone with the same problem or to get told I'm a dumbass.

Interesting trick I tried today. 2 of the 4 Spicer ball joints (upper driver and lower passenger sides) did not require a press to seat them. The upper literally dropped right in on its own and hand the tiniest bit of play. The lower could be pushed in by hand and had no play. I've had enough of this shit at this point and wasn't trying to wait so I could order and experiment with a problem solver replacement.

We took a spool of thin copper wire, cut it into 3" segments, and then wrapped each individual segment equidistant apart around the lip of the seat and two crimped on the inside lip. We threw on some copper anti seize for good measure and pressed them in. This allowed them to seat firmly and snugly. I'm going to roll with it.

*Edited to add that the "how to" thread told me this is a terrible idea and that I should follow Blaine's advice to dimple the body of the ball joint to resolve the issue. This solution is available to see in another thread about the same problem.

Rain stopped, was able to get it installed:

I ordered a right angle mic connector so the mic cord will bear to Biden's side and won't get in the way of the gearshift. Sounds great through the external CB speaker in the center console where a sub-woofer usually is. Other than a bit of cleanup, this job is done, on to the next:

I found what appears to be a good deal on an LJ soft top.
Can anyone confirm which OEM top this is? Is it the Mopar Sunrider?
Does anyone have a link to the installation manual/instructions?

The owner of the property asked my son to remove the jeep sometime today...He's already had 6 hits from it being parked there for a day... Hopefully he can sell it this week and have money for the Sapphire in the rough (Sapphicon).
