What did you do to your TJ today?

Right angle CB mic connector:

Now the mic cord doesn't get tangled up with the gearshift knob. Mic clip is temporaried on, I was lamenting the lack of metal surfaces to stick a magnetic mic holder on, when I realized that the CB radio bezel is steel!

I may have missed it before, but what is the little red light to the right of the CB?

Bought some brand new Iron Man by Copper tires.
Aluminum hub centric wheel spacers
Went a size up from the stock 30x9.50s to 31x10.50s.
God willing I'll be adding a 1 ¹/²-2" body lift to my LJ very soon.

I was born in VT, work outside all winter and don't/can't wear gloves for my job (construction). I was told by my boss, "If you don't think about it, you won't get cold". Doesn't quite work that way for me. You adapt. Hard tops help very little. Jeep heaters are incredibly hot, even on low when temps are below zero.I buy Jeeps with them, so I can sell them for $800.View attachment 189201

I'm curious about running a soft top here in Canada where it reaches -30c (-22F) where I live. Do you you find the material gets brittle in the cold before it heats up? Does the weight of the snow cause the material to permanently stretch or sag? Fortunately on the West coast it rains more then snows but does reach the low temperatures for about a month.

Not at all, although I hear horror stories of stupid people trying to roll up the rear window in below zero temps and it cracking. I left over 2' of snow on my soft top and it was fine. I work at 2am and we had a blizzard with 3' of snow that year.

Finished detailing the transmission while I wait for the engine to get finished. Next up is the T/case.

Replaced the wire loom and Dielectric grease on electrical ends. Anti seize or thread locker where required. Hand painted parts after torquing. Satin clear coat over the paint.

Little bit of under carriage cleaning and spraying and checking torque values if something was off to see why I get a wobble when I hit a bump. Think my issue is tire balance.

I am wanting to head towards Colorado as soon as the transmission get reinstalled (should be Monday) so since it's setting outside anyway, I drove down and
Installed my wiring harness to the rear lights so I can tow it behind my motorcoach.
Pretty darn hot here in Texas today.

Lots of people in Quebec and Ontario run soft tops and we have pretty intense winters compared to some parts of BC. Lots of freezing rain and snow.
