What did you do to your TJ today?

This was the last spare tire cover I ever had.

Knowing how much you hate Halloween, this was my 2019 costume. I was late and all I could find was a sweat band with long greasy hair attached. Scared the bird.

Winch is back together at last! Testing tomorrow...
I bet he gets more done to his Jeep than any man in the dress out there....😊.. I'm being silly but respectfully saying ol' Zorb actually is as enthusiastic as the rest of us... I didn't know what to think when you first got here... I'm not even sure if I do yet.... But I really like how you actively participate Zorba.

Recently sold my hard top for $1200 (LJ), once I put the soft top on, I had no desire to ever put on the hard top again.
You know I wanted a hard top my entire life...cjs we're just awful as far as the noise and drafts... And they're great and terrible at the same time.. the best thing about them is they make it like a car... And the worst thing about them is they make it like a car.

I love mine and at the same time love the top off ...that's what most of my Jeep fetish revolves around.

Thank you for your kind words - even if what I wear are (mostly) skirts, not dresses! A skirt hangs from the hips, a dress hangs from the shoulders. Skirts are easy for anyone to wear, dresses on men are problematic because they need to be made for our body proportions for them to look good - otherwise they just look stupid. Aren't you glad you asked? :D ;)

I'm just having fun - and learning, like anybody else. At the time I posted that winch picture, I was confident that it would work. The Gods slapped my happy ass down for my hubris. Paint in the wrong place compromised brush ground, so no workee! So I learned something, which is always a good thing - and keeps me from getting cocky! Hell, I have yet to actually take this thing on a "real" wheeling trip - I want to have a reasonable chance of getting back if I get stuck! I go out and play on what I call a "bunny trail" near me, just to get used to its capabilities and how to drive it. I grew up on a rather rutty dirt road, I have an abhorrence of getting stuck - my dad and I pulled enough people out over the years, and neither of us ever owned a 4WD, just used common sense.

Got my Rancho shocks out of they're boxes and just hit them with few coats of clear enamel. Does anyone actually put the Rancho sticker on their shocks? One of my stickers was all jacked😕
I sprayed mine black and I put the stickers on just for the heck of it. One of mine were missing altogether, I emailed Rancho and they sent me 2 at no charge.

Another admission of mechanical ineptitude...heard a clunk every time I accelerated in my 03 after my pinion /CV driveshaft change ... apparently I failed to tighten my upper control arm bolts enough or at all..not sure ....I'm watching them now to make sure they hold torque.

Next is chase down this electrical deal ....I have to stand and stare at it nearly a minute when I close the door to make the interior light go off. I think I intimidate it.

I've never had a hard top. I really don't want one, just for the fact that it would be a pain to take it on and off and then have to store it somewhere when it is off. I like the options the soft top has and how easy it is to just flip a portion of it back or flip the whole thing back.

The only thing I really would love a hard top for, is going off road in the colder months. Not so much because of it could be warmer or what ever, more of the fact that if I go through narrow low hanging branches, I wouldn't have to worry about ripping the top. I tend to not care about scratching the paint but do care if I get a hole in the soft top. LOL I need to add a set of pruners to my tool kit. :D
