105,700 miles, second owner, bought it in 2013 with 68,500, only car, do about 5000 a year.
water pump, obviously will do a new thermostat, also doing a new belt.
question is should i do a new belt tensioner as well ?
anything else i should do, maybe upper and lower radiator hoses ?

thanks for all input ( unless it's stupid ) ...

Also, I wouldn't worry about the belt tensioner. In most cases 100k miles isn't enough to replace a cooling system, but given that the vehicle is 15 years old, you have to account for age as well as mileage.

Do a real good heater core flush. Do it in both directions to get as much crap out as possible.

Don't forget new clamps too. Try and stay away from those crappy worm screw clamps and get stock-like replacements.
X2, they are known as constant tension hose clamps. They are MUCH better than screw-type hose clamps too many incorrectly think is better.

I used some of the stainless constant torque lined clamps on my Wagoneer a few years back, and they've been great. They don't bind or break like the cheap worm drive clamps do, and they can be torqued down a bit more than the pinch-type clamps. Detroit Diesel uses them on their turbo plumbing, and the S60s in some of those trucks run 50psi boost.

Just rebuilt the entire cooling system on our '05, and used them on each end of the upper/lower radiator hoses. Holding well after 1000 miles.

Those are great quality but they don't have the ability to self-adjust their clamping force when needed like the factory constant-tension clamps do. I went back to the factory style constant-tension hose clamps for that reason.

X2 to this. Honestly, I think you'd be silly not to just do the entire cooling system given the age of the vehicle.
Yeah man. I'd do everything associated with the cooling system except maybe the heater core, that's what I did when I my original water pump started leaking. One & done.

I wouldn't worry too much about the belt tensioner unless you just want to. You can change that anytime without having to drain coolant.
