Love the bumper but a few questions. My rack doesn’t slide in as far as it did with my traditional hitch. It’s an inch off so the holes don’t align.
Should I drill new holes or cut off an inch off the shank. I feel the extra length hanging out puts more stress on the hitch.

Cut the rack to reduce the leverage. In fact, I would shorten the rack side as much as possible and drill a new pin hole.

I had the Swag bumper on my last LJ and had a similar issue. I ended up cutting a square out of the cross member so the hitch could skied all the way in.

thought about that but it was such a pain getting it on that I don’t want to take it back off.

If you do cut a square hole in the crossmember for extra space, how much more length do you get for the receiver before things hit the gas tank?

On a TJ, the thickness of the crossmember. About 1.5" before the gas tank gets in the way. Significantly more on an LJ.

Does anyone know off hand know what the tongue weight is on these bumpers. I didn’t see anything on their website.
