Recently got a used 2002 wrangler TJ and was wondering what this switch was.

It’s not factory. Could be a kill switch, lightbar, smokescreen, oil slick, or missiles. What happens when you toggle it?

Definitely not stock. Must be something the PO added. If turning it on and off doesn't show what it's for, then you'll have to chase down the wiring and see what it's connected to.

So opening up the panel that it was on showed me this. I’m not familiar with wiring and aren’t totally sure what everything is. I’m guessing it could go to the light pods but toggling the switch does nothing.

What the hell is that other thing? A rheostat?

Tracing those wires is about the only way you’ll be able to figure it out. Even f you can trace them to something factory ie a connector, a factory harness, we can figure out what circuit it’s on.

Hard to hear the audio, what kind of noise is it? A single click? The component in your video is the PCM, but the PDC is just forward of it, maybe pull the lid off of it & see if you can feel a relay clicking.
