I personally wouldn’t bother buying a stubby for the TJ. The stock one is easily modifiable. Add the winch plate and rock that shit. Resourceful and less costly.

I like the full size bumper on TJ ... IFFF . you fill the gap between bumper and fender like some JK models... (as shown below) which is what I hope to somehow do. Got a few ideas
Just buy a JK.I like the full size bumper IFFF. you fill the gap between bumper and fender like some JK models... which is what I hope to somehow do. Got a few ideas
Presently I have 7" flares on OEM fenders so am already about as wide as JK bumper anyway. Want a more square blockish look front end to get an Older G-wagen look..... to match the Mercedes engine I have under the hood of my TJ. There is always method to my madness.

1. not in my budget and will be dead by the time something that new is in my budget...... (am past half way to to old now.. when income drops not raises.... and that is on a good economy)Just buy a JK.
There’s an ARB bumper that may work. The JK options fitted to a TJ look pretty bad. I think @TheBoogieman has posted a few. Good luck!1. not in my budget and will be dead by the time something that new is in my budget......
2. don't trust our present administration nor the path it it taking us down. This is PRIMARY reason for my TJ having this particular MB diesel. This engine is well know to be good at burning fairly well about any light oil as a fuel. (motor oil, veg. oil, etc.) Just mix it wisely with diesel or Kero. Burns it even better with minimal mods.
Which engine? OM-617A?1. not in my budget and will be dead by the time something that new is in my budget......

Is that what your wife tells you to make you feel better? (JK)Gotta go stubby. I went from mid width...as an added bonus, I save about 15 lbs up front and gained a couple inches
