What did you do to your TJ today?

Good bye death wobble. Installed metalcloak track bar and lower control arms with a pitman arm tie rod end and steering damper She drives like new.

Never heard back from my mechanic after having the Jeep towed. I called him before he closed and he said he was swamped today and drove it and didn't hear the banging noise. He will check it out on the lift in the morning. Day 2 without driving my Jeep is going to cause withdrawals. I hope he finds out what's wrong before I drive it and find out the hard way. 😟 The noise was so bad I didn't dare drive it the 2 miles to his shop.

I hydroplaned and almost took out a cop car and a minivan. Anybody else have traction problems in the rain? Wasn't really raining that hard, a liytle standing water, and I have plenty of tread left. Guess the old TJ just isn't heavy enough to push down through the water. Time to slow down even more in the rain...

He’s fired, JK. Hope it works out brother, I don’t get to drive mine 3-5 days a week due to traveling for work. It sucks but saves the miles!

went out after the storm passed looking for some trees to get stuck atop of.... well, not intentionally. just wanted to putz through the backwoods slowly.

barely any cell signal but enough to indicate where I was via garbled communication and guessing partial words. family arrived after the first hour, needed to get pulled forward but tree was down at other end of track. skid plate refused to slide over rearward and preferred the allowance of my bumper going to a tree. half hour later a young kid late teens early 20's showed up. being that the nearest chainsaw was 45 minutes away I offered him $50 if he could bring a chainsaw back. hoped for the best feared the worst after he left. we continued attempting deflating tires and stacking what we could fit between the tree and tires to no avail. about half hour or so he returned in a truck and we managed to slice the tree apart and pull it away to get the truck to the other side gladly handed him the cash. jeep creeped up and over with the assistance unharmed as far as im aware. so overall, spent 3 hours as a sitting duck after being the dumbass thinking well the front went over no issue and no skid rubbing I should be in the clear.. nope.

moral of the story... dont wheel alone, have cash on ya, bring a chainsaw/bowsaw, budget a winch or carry come alongs, dont drive over 12" trees. dont be a dumbass.

I thought about selling her.....so I could buy newer, bigger....So since Mazda announced that they were discontinuing the Mazda 6 every local dealership has been calling me wanting my car! The "Diva" is a 2017.5 Mazda 6 Touring 6 speed manual (zoom-zoom) and apparently the discontinuation has jacked the value of her up a lot, I had one dealership offer me $4k over book, which would more than pay off my loan and provide some funds towards another newer Jeep along with selling this Jeep (who is still nameless LOL). My husband is the IT system administrator for a large family of dealerships here so getting what I want is no problem ether. I found one I liked a 2012 Wrangler Unlimited....but then got to thinking how nice and fancy it is and how I would cringe at getting rained on with the top down, and it has such nice carpet that I wouldn't want to get dirty, and on and on....plus instead of having 2 cars to play with (Diva is a lot of fun to drive) I would only have 1...I decided that my Jeep is exactly what I want, we get rained on top down and I don't care, I go hiking and get her floor dirty (no carpet) and I don't care, to me this is a Jeep and what Jeep Life is all about, while the newer one is nice with 4 doors and more room it just wouldn't be the same.

I dont like my Black TJ its too black lol but seeing one with the doors and hardtop off looks much better, I even like the black wheels over my graphite/silver ecco,s :) Looks like you have the RR front fender protectors on? Somebody just gave me a set but not sure if they will look too Naff if I put them on? got a pic from the front?

Waiting on Parts. Rausch Creek was not my friend last visit.
Broke Lower Front Control Arm
Broke Upper Rear Control Arm
My new Barnes 4WD Skid plate got hungry and started eating my New Tom Woods Driveshaft
My Front Control arm skids (Brand NEW) Took all the punishment. Only thing I didn't like is they swivel on the control arm but that could have just been from those brackets already being somewhat toasted.

Got parts ordered and a Welder lined up to beef up the brackets and already cleaned up the driveshaft and grinded the side of the skid for clearance.

It never ends.

:) Naff? I had to Google that one.

: lacking in style or good taste : vulgar and unfashionable.
