come across this Thursday bringing the skid loader back from another job side at the exit from one highway to another... there was no other way around it, had to drive by it before I got stuck in traffic. could feel quite a bit of heat while hauling ass past it. pretty sure highway was shut down for a while. felt bad for the family, few kids and parents/grandparents were standing quite a way away from it. 99.9% sure everyone got out safe, couldn't find anything in the local news to follow up.

Why I am counting my days until retirement.

That's a piece of plastic port plug from a hydraulic pump atop a check valve poppet I pulled from a new machine "That has a problem. Can you fly down and help?"
I found the problem. Now the people responsible have to tear down and flush the entire system.

Ah yes - get past it before it blows! Saw a fully engulfed motorhome fire in the median of the freeway years back. The *FUCKING* *IDIOT* drivers all had to *FUCKING* *SLOW* *DOWN* to rubberneck at this mess!!!! Thanx guys - I really want to creep past something like this.

I *HATE* rubberneckers!! If its not in my direct - and I mean DIRECT, path, I don't give a damn; *MOVE* *IT*!!!! Someone off the road changing a tire - or ANYTHING on the other side - doesn't warrant slowing down one iota. I couldn't possibly care less about it.

I used to ride a bike to work along a high speed, 2 lane road. One morning, I encountered a mix up in the fog - 2 cars and a sheriff. I just switched over to the other side of the road and rode right on through. At work, a (car driving) co-worker asked me what had happened. "I don't know - looks like 2 cars tried to violate the laws of physics to me. I didn't really look, because I don't really care!"...

I like to see what happened... but I dont like slowing down to see it. ill rubberneck but ive got places to be, if everyones out of the way and its safe enough to pass ill look out the window but keep on moving.

I don't even do that. I keep my eyes glued to the road in front of me in case some idiot does something stupid - which happens frequently under such circumstances. I want to get around the obstacle ASAFP. And if slowing down *is* necessary - I GET ON IT as soon as I'm clear.

Encountered an accident on eastbound 10 a few years back - it had *just* happened - some kind of mix up involving a big rig. No fire. People milling about. We all had to go all the way over to the shoulder to get past - and the accident was so recent that no creep and beep traffic had built up yet. Once around it, people were still creeping slowly. I drove all the way across 3 or 4 lanes to get into the fast lane and floored it. Goodbye! I really don't care, it doesn't involve me.
