What did you do to your TJ today?

Did it yesterday, but whatever! Installed my UCF ultra high clearance tummy tuck skid and 1” motor mount lift. Next up… engine skid.

Nothing major, got the extra hole drilled on one side for the Next Venture bumper brace - and wire wheeled/chipped rust off. Still gotta do the other side, then do some priming/painting before actually bolting the braces up.

Putting in chromoly front axles, putting it back together tonight and ended up swiping out whatever was left of the threads in caliper bolt holes. Emergency trip to Oreilly for heli-coils and everything is better. That was enough excitement for one day, although I’m pretty proud of myself for fixing this one.

Working on my audio upgrade.
Installed power though firewall to a distribution block.

Also expanded the 5” speaker holes in the soundbar to just over 5.5” with a jigsaw. Killmatted and poly foamed the bar. Added Focal Performance PC 165. (No pics)

todo: front and rear cameras, rear powered sub, double din head unit, then hope it all sounds good.

Had a Jeep first. After spending several hours replacing a leaking RMS, which I had previously replaced, I was laying on the cool concrete floor inspecting my work. I completed the inspection, closed my eyes, and woke up 45 minutes later relaxed and refreshed. When I went inside, my wife greeted me with a cold drink and said she was worried about me working so hard in the heat. I told her it was tough, but I managed! :sneaky:

I topped off my transmission fluid, which was low due to a small leak on a cooler line. I still need to replace the cooler lines and flush the fluid but I feel much better about driving it now.

I also ordered a UCF no-BL skid in preparation for dropping my skid and cleaning up/prepping/painting my frame, and some SMC epoxy to take care of a couple of spots on the LJ hardtop I picked up last week.
