To be clear, this is my first nitrided cam, and first cam ordered from Russ, and I have no idea what's causing my metallic sheen in the oil. See above and I hope the same. The previous dead cams were on previous motors and cams including the stock cam. Current build with parts from Russ is...

Yeah, warping hasn't been my issue so far. It's eating lobes off the cam.

I do believe that is exactly the reason and as for worth it, after replacing several cams which seems to be the predominant issue for most any performance built AMC I6, it would have paid for itself long ago in my case.

Nevermind. I googled it. Had me excited there for a minute. I would pay way more money than I should for a roller cam option for our motors. I think maybe it's not possible due to engine architecture?

Billet dual roller? As in a true roller cam (as opposed to flat tappet)?

Thanks. And those were drop in, right? I remember you said it quieted down the valve train some, right? Did you ever see any valve float? I shift around 5.5k rpm so that's a bit of a concern for me. And please excuse my ignorance, but the lift listed on a cam card is seen at the valve with...

    Heater core recommendation?

I have no dog in this fight but your proof of "test data" is lacking. I am not impressed.

Just curious if you had anymore input on these. I'm finally starting to get parts together to install my Russ built Eddy head and was considering installing these springs first.

What did you do to / in your garage / shop today?

Got it done. Forgot pics of the additional supports in the attic, but they will have to wait until my TJ specific rear hoist hook shows up. I have to spin the top to the side to open and shut the attic stairs door at the moment because the rear window blocks it from opening when it is open.

Variables of Ignition Timing in a Stock TJ

I think you are getting your head wrapped around it (at least as far as I understand it but I am no expert). I think having a broad understanding of the inputs and their affects is important, but also a large part of tuning is experience on both the platform and with the specific vehicle. After...

Good thinking. You will need a bigger blower for a stroker 😉

I know Blaine says that ain't it, but it's what I suspect.

    Recommend aluminum radiator

Nobody on here with recommend one. MOPAR is the only thing you'll hear. I have to say, I've gone through several very expensive aluminum ones and I'm back MOPAR.
