You will almost certainly need to replace the hinges as an assembly. You can likely find some used on this forum or ebay. It aftermarket is an option including an Exogate. Your budget is obviously a factor though.

OP--The O2 circuit is shared with a few other important things and a short can definitely cause a no start issue. I think it triggers the ASD relay.

I understand you had the battery tested. I still suspect battery. What happens when you jump it?

I like the idea of connecting JTEC specific info. You'll need that at some point after you get a good handle of how the particular tuning platform you are using works and are familiar with it.

I have never disassembled a TJ slider control so I'm not sure what's involved and what parts are in there. That being said, I have seen slider controls for mid-70's GM/Oldsmobiles be "refreshed" by opening them up and cleaning the contacts with a pencil eraser then adding a little dielectric...
