I am having an impossible time trying to find a credible shop that will do a "slip yoke eliminator" and drive shaft in my TJ. Within 2
hours of where live in Hot Springs AR. Any Arkansan's out there?
I saw a video a while back of a tj with a box under the frame on the driver side that had a port going into the cab. Not sure how good it is but that would be ideal for conserving storage space.
Jacked it up this morning to wiggle the wheel. No noticeable movement horizontally but vertically I do hear a veryslight movement in the hub but the wheel doesn't really move or anything like I've seen in videos.
The noise seems to get quieter when applying the brakes. Then starts back again when I accelerate. It did pull to that side before the brake pads were changed a few months ago but now it does not pull to that side, at least not bad enough that I notice. I'll check tomorrow. I'll also jack it up...
I've got the new Rancho RS5000X's on the jeep and they are fantastic! Didn't realize how much better the ride could be. I only got to drive about 2 miles or so because of a busy schedule but they are nice. Pretty easy install and very affordable.
Are these the right shock for a 2000 Sahara with 4.5 inches of measured lift? Rancho RS5000X 3.5-5"Lift Shocks & Stabilizer for Jeep Wrangler Tj 4WD 1997-2006 https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07D7B65J7/?tag=wranglerorg-20
The rim measures 11 inches wide so I'm assuming they're 10s. What's the lowest pressure you recommend with a 10in wide rim and 33x 12.50 15 BFGs Load C's?
Recommended "Cold tire pressures" for 33" 12.5 15 BFGs, Load Cs, curb weight 3600lbs, 6cyl TJ, no bead locks.
Pressures for Highway, Trail, Snow, Mud, Rock?
Also, do u run different pressure in summer vs winter?
Fantastic! How would you investigate the rearend to see if there's some type of locker that has been added? Any tricks to find out without opening the pumpkin?
Did the PO add a locker to this rear end. The jeep spins both rear tires when on the slick (2000 Sahara 120k 6cyl 5 speed). The build sheet from Chrysler says it was built with a DANA 44. It does not say anything about it being a "true trac" on the build sheet. Upon inspection it looks as if...
WOW! I didn't know my engine was really running rough until I put these Autolite XP985's in. It runs like a brand new car. Before, the idle would bounce around a 300 rpm difference. I just figured it's an 18 year old jeep and that's why. It now holds perfectly still at idle. Nicer throttle...
It was the Cam Shaft Position sensor. I ordered the "Mopar" Branded Part off of Amazon. It was a quick and easy install. Just 2 screws, replace the cap and plug it back in. I have 160 miles on the new CPS and all start ups have been perfect. Fixed!! Below is a link to the specific CPS I ordered...
ya I just had to destroy mine to get it off. Mine would not come out, even using the notch. The screw driver and knife I were using destroyed the outer material. When I finally got traction on the cap the screw driver literally pulled right through the center of the cap. And the cap was still...
