Looking for 4.6 stroker engine feedback

I'm not sure you will be happy with the power output of the 2.0 TDI. The Jetta barely manages 0-60 in under 11 seconds. You could turn it up, but then you have more lag and less reliability.

Looking for 4.6 stroker engine feedback

Most of the options for custom engine parts are far too expensive for the Jeep market. I priced a set of JE pistons a while back and they were almost $1500. A billet block would be $10k minimum and a hydraulic roller cam setup was going to be $1200 or so for the parts needed to make it work...

    Jezza's Turbo LJ

Fordyce in the books as well. Less hard than I was lead to believe. I did winch hill 1,2,4 and 5. 3 I did the middle line not the buggy line. The rest of the trail was rocky and dusty. Water was flowing at 300 and didn't go above the bottom of my sliders.

    Jezza's Turbo LJ

Well the turbo LJ survived Rubicon. No damage or issues to report. I took a shot at soup bowl, but didn't get up. Other than that it worked flawless. Tomorrow its on to Fordyce.

    Jezza's Turbo LJ

My oil cap broke again so I designed one to make out of aluminum. It's a throwback to the vintage ones in the Willys days.

    Drum Brake Help

Ooof you're gonna get some opinions there. I lubricate the ones I do, but some folks don't as it can attract dust and cause them to stick...

    Drum Brake Help

I also had one recently that the adjustment lever that engages the self adjust wheel was damaged. The edge where it pushes the wheel was rounded off and not sharp. It needs to be somewhat sharp to push the star wheel and not slip.

    Drum Brake Help

The self adjust cables are probably stretched out. You can either replace them with new or in a pinch I have twisted them to shorten the length. The arm should be slightly below the center of the adjuster as viewed from the side. Also the adjuster must be clean and not difficult to spin. If...

Why do folks black out their license plate when posting pictures?

I do it because once a picture is on the web it can stay there forever. Just because there is not an easy way to get your info from a plate right now doesn't mean it will always be that way.

    Coolant Filter Cut Apart

Not yet. I will most likely do one here shortly when I get this one dialed in the way I want it.

    Coolant Filter Cut Apart

I installed it inline with the heater core on this one. That circuit is a bypass from the head back to the pump.

    Coolant Filter Cut Apart

This is another filter I cut open about a week after installing. This Jeep got 3 flushes with Thermocure before I put the filter on. I was shocked at the amount of junk that came out. The filter was so plugged it began to collapse the pleats. I put a new filter on and will check it again in...

Dyno Testing Bolt-ons On The 4.0

So, cams are a problem. I called around today and no one has cores. I guess there is a current issue at the foundry where most of the US made cams are made. The estimate they gave me was early next year for ready to grind cores. So, Comp it is I guess.

Dyno Testing Bolt-ons On The 4.0

I'm not sure there would be enough of a measurable difference on either of those items to quantify. I might have a set of the 4 hole injectors laying around I'll look.

Any other currently available cam you would recommend? I was also looking at this one: https://www.howardscams.com/hydraulic-flat-tappet-street-force-1-camshaft-1964-1995-american-motors-199-258-40l-1000-4400-0 I am trying to stay budget-ish. Meaning I don't really want to go changing valve...
