Going down in tire size (33s and 4.88 gearing)

I was just looking at these tires since I have the 35” version just as a comparison. Any other recommendations in a 33x10.50?

Going down in tire size (33s and 4.88 gearing)

I did plug it all in grimmjeeper. I looked a few different scenarios. I think it will be good. I don’t drive fast or get on any freeways.

I’ve been looking for them in any color and haven’t found any good ones yet. I found a yellow set but was too late to buy them.

I think the 33” 4.88 combo will work good for me.

Going down in tire size (33s and 4.88 gearing)

I’m doing this because I am tired of the “look”. I’m going for more of the mildly modified Jeep rather than the stripped down rock crawler thing. I’m not going to do any of that. Nothing against the Metalcloak stuff, it’s good stuff. I’m just not into the look. So…here I am. If I can’t locate...

Thank you. Like I said, the 4.88’s are pretty awesome for sure.

Going down in tire size (33s and 4.88 gearing)

I have decided that I’m going a different direction with my Jeep. I would like to get rid of the metalcloak fenders front and rear and install factory front fenders along with fender flares. Along with this I am going down to 33’s from 35’s. With all that being said, I already did a gear change...

    WTB: 2005 silver fenders both

Thanks for the heads up. It’s a ways from me to Austin. I’m gonna contact him and see if I can work something out. I did find a good set near me but, they are yellow. Time I factor in paint and all that I’m not sure it’s worth it.

I was thinking along the lines of it was possible that the tip of the plug broke off and tried to escape via the exhaust valve. Just a thought. I’ve seen quite a few diesel engines do something similar when an injector tip breaks off.

Yup. I was checking the pre cats. I’m going to do it again in the morning to verify what I saw. My big cat looks like yours. Someone rodded it out.

Pre-catalytic converter inlet and outlet temperature

I was doing some reading the other day about this and I’m just curious, anyone have an idea as to what the temps should be? I’m not having issues I am just really curious. I checked mine with my temp gun when I got to work this morning and they were pretty dang hot.

    Strange intermittent running issues

Just wanted to report that the pcm arrived today and, I installed it after work. 100% took care of my issues. Did a long test drive and the engine definitely runs better with no lag going from gear to gear. Connected the winch controller to test function and the engine didn’t go to high idle at...
