    Persistent vibrations

I think you should send us the shaft to have us inspect the balance and re-balance if necessary. We can even provide you with a shipping label for free. Give us a call if you want to try that. I know you said you want to exhaust all other possible causes but that can be, well, exhausting. If it...

How do I find out what part of the driveshaft is the problem?

Yes. Everyone gets a 100% discount on answers to drive shaft related questions.

    Build-Your-Own Rear Driveshaft For SYE

People often do this with something like a TJ or XJ because they use a 1310 series yoke style double cardan shaft. While I could go on for a very long time about why I disapprove of doing this for many reasons, none of which have anything to do with us selling a drive shaft, a Rubicon is a...

How do I find out what part of the driveshaft is the problem?

As @someguysjeep mentioned it is likely that if one part is bad others are also bad and it maybe cheaper and better to replace the entire shaft. The best way to tell what parts are bad though is to try and wiggle or move them. Feel for loose joints, feel for play in the slip yoke and spline...

    Pinion angle double check...

What a crazy coincidence, I just emailed someone with a very similar question and setup. I had to double check the photos to make sure it wasn't the same person. I'm going to for the most part copy and paste my email answer below. The pinion should be about 2 degrees less than the angle of the...

Play in front transfer case output?

Theoretically axial play will not cause any vibration problems with the drive shaft. However, if there is axial play that is an indicator that either the nut is loose or you have a bad output bearing. Either of those things can also result in radial play on the yoke. If the yoke is wobbling...

    Driveline angle (with pics)

I'm going to jump in and bang the same drum as everyone else. Remove that transfer case drop. The transfer case drop is something that people often do in a short wheelbase TJ when installing a significant lift to lessen drive shaft angle. Because this looks like an LJ with not a lot of lift the...

Play in front transfer case output?

You shouldn't really have any. I suggest that you try tightening that nut. The way the yoke butts up against the inner race of the output bearing it is about impossible to overtighten the nut so you are safe to put an impact gun on it.
