Question for those who have done Bushwacker flat flare install

I know this isn't the case Jerry, but the way you phrased your reply made me think that a shopping cart caused that damage to your flare. So now I have this comical image in my head! 😆 You should steer clear of the mall, man! Those parking lots can be brutal! 🤣

    Dana 30 Auto Locker Questions

    A C5 wouldn't climb that slick hill either.🤘

    Dana 30 Auto Locker Questions

Why do you persist that a rear locker is out of the question? I realize that comes with a larger price tag. How much are you willing to spend to build a well-balanced rig?

    Dana 30 Auto Locker Questions

You're asking a question that's based more on opinion than you realize. I have front and rear selectable lockers. I use my rear locker more often than both lockers. I can't think of an instance where I've used only the front locker without the rear. This is my particular driving style. You'll...

    Dana 30 Auto Locker Questions

Crossing a flat muddy section is different than climbing a slick hill. Think of where traction is needed most when the vehicle's weight is transferred via the suspension.

    Dana 30 Auto Locker Questions

I'm with you there. Hopefully the OP isn't under the misconception that, on the subject obstacle, locking the front is going to provide unlimited traction.

    Dana 30 Auto Locker Questions

That obstacle you mentioned looks steep and fairly smooth. You'd benefit more from added traction in the rear end. Is there a reason you're focusing on the front axle?

Does anyone run trail doors / half doors on the trail?

No. Chime is only activated when headlights are on with ignition off on my '98.

What is the difference between these two Currie steering systems?

Correct. I believe it was the suspension/ chassis components that split off as Rock Jock. The axles remain under the Currie name.

Does anyone run trail doors / half doors on the trail?

I wired my system so that I can disable the door switches independently without killing the circuit. So the chime still works.

    Your battery thanks you. 😊

Does anyone run trail doors / half doors on the trail?

One downside to pulling the fuse is that you also disable the chime when the headlights are on and the ignition is off. For most of us that's not a big deal. My wife, however, has a knack for leaving the headlights on when she shuts the Jeep off. She killed 2 batteries in about 3 years time...

Yeah, the more you detail the PIA factor, I can see the plating option gets real expensive real quick.

    Toughness personified

My vote would be for the DIY paint version. I prefer to paint my own stuff because it's just gonna get beat up anyways. I also like that it helps to keep cost down too.

    TJ shifter boot dimensions

It's possible (depending on the model year) that the thick rubber boot is binding and causing the shifter to pop out of or not fully engage certain gears. By dropping the transfer case you essentially shorten the shifter so the boot gets bunched up can become a hindrance. I dealt with a...
