This sounds perfect to me. I will probably start planning my road trip a month before. By the way, I put on my 33’s !

    Skinned knuckle build

Today my daughter and I retorqued all the adapter plates with threadlock for the Gladiator 33/17’s my friend gave me. Well I gave him $200 for 5 brand new wheels and tires but that was more of a thank you gesture. They are not my first choice of wheel and tire but the price was right and I...

Is it worthwhile to sink this money into my LJ?

Why is the registration $1200? Are you transferring reg from another state? Is it possible you are talking to a very unfriendly smog station?

Mines a 98. Found the thread you mentioned. Wish I read that first. Live and learn. Thanks. And I will PM you about the 5th wheel after I resolve the adapters issue. https://wranglertjforum.com/threads/using-jl-wheels-on-a-tj.29878/#post-548721

    Wheel adapter advice

Yeah I think you could argue it from a few different directions but my take is you are half correct. The adapters are fine. The stock wheel studs would work with adapter lug nuts that fit the adapters properly.

9.25 turns!!! Being 0.46” for a 1/2” lug. So close 🤣 I really appreciate all the input and pointing me to Blaine’s post. I think I will keep the adapters and hunt for the mag shaft open end lug nuts. I really only need another 1/4”.

    Wheel adapter advice

The ones I bought are hub-centric and cnc machined out of forged billet. I will either return them or try to get the correct lug nuts but I won’t drive on the current setup.

Huh. They didn’t send those, just standard tapered lug nuts. Thanks.

While I agree with you guys, here is one of the images from the Amazon product you link to. Obviously they think it’s normal.

    Wheel adapter advice

Longer wheel studs looks doable but a pain the ass. I am returning them and will buy a different brand. I’ll buy the Amazon ones @Chris linked to in another thread like I should have in the first place.

    Wheel adapter advice

My friend gave me his JLR wheels and I bought adapters with 1.25” spacer from eBay and mounted them today. The TJ studs are not long enough for the adapter to hub lug nuts to screw all the way on. See photos. The second photo with the lug but is torqued to 80 ft-lbs. Is this normal or is this...

Why you want a Mopar radiator

I bought this last week for $180. Genuine Mopar, but the top is plastic. I don’t know, are they all plastic these days? Installed it today and it fits perfect in my 98. https://parts.chryslerjeepdodgecityofmckinney.com/p/RADIATOR-Engine-Cooling-All-Manual-Transmissions/42381984/55037652AA.html
