2006 Rubicon rear brake line replacement hose

Hello, I have a 2006 Rubicon, and looking to replace the rear softline at each end of the rear axle. The crown part has mixed reviews. I have heard of people using a centric line, and cutting and flaring the existing tube. Does anyone have the part number for that hose?

Replacement Brake Master Cylinder - Best Option?

Replacing front and rear brakes with a Black Magic Brakes 16" big brake kit, as well as replacing the back calipers. I am considering replacing the master cylinder at the same time. Jeep has 155k miles and I assume the master is original. Two questions: 1. Is this stupid? 2. What is the best...

Raceline wheels lug machining - is this screwed up?

Just got a set of raceline beadlocks. The lugs are drilled leaving an extremely small amount of metal between the center hole and the lug hole. So thin that when the drilled the center bore afterwards it just bent the metal out. Should I be concerned, does this look right?

    Ball joint press effort

Replacing the ball joints on the front of my LJR. Most of the ball joints required a very large amount of force to press in. The passenger side upper required a press, but was much easier than the others. Using an 18" breaker bar i could press it in relatively easily and didn't feel like I was...

After a hiatus due to family death, coming back to my gear install. Wondering if anyone has installed a Eaton E locker in a rubicon housing, and how you ran the wires. Did you: 1. Enlarge the factor hole for the airline and run it through there 2. Drill a new hole 3. Just give up...

TrailReady simulated beadlocks (talk me out of it)

Looking for 17" wheel options in 5x5.5, with correct backspace (4"?) Trail ready and raceline beadlocks seem to be some of the very few 17" aluminum options. Realistically, i don't think I need beadlocks. Jeep will be used primarily for trails and offriad, but don't think I'll be going down to...

    5x5.5 17" wheel options with 4" backspace

Looking for new wheels to go with a big hub kit, in 17" with appropriate backspace. The only thing I can find is Raceline beadlocks, and TrailReady beadlocks. I think beadlocks are probably not what I want, as not necessary for my level of use, so that leave TrailReady simulated beadlocks, at...

Where to weld on Currie mini skids?

Looking for advice on best location for currie skids. Im sure it would be best to put the axle under the jeep and check clearance with the joint, but it's on the bench and I'd rather weld it in while standing. Should it go all the back? Or farther forward? Thanks for your help! Do people...

Hello, Looking at replacing the pressed joints in my front axle with jonny joints while it's out. There seems to be a couple ways to accomplish this: 1. Weld a reinforcement plate that I make or buy from some place like barnes to the existing bracket, and then weld the machined jonny joint...
