Leaky doors - what's the threshold before I should do something?

When it rains, I end up with about a 1/2 oz of water in the front Weathertech floor mats. (note: Best Xmas gift this year!!!) I'm in NC where it rarely rains gently. Water is definitely getting into the seals at the top and coming out at the bottom right at the door entry guards where it...

    Soundbar speaker options

Oh, I forgot to mention you ought to print in PETG. Anything that can be in a hot car needs PETG or it might get soft on a summer day. I used sharp ended machine screws and just screwed them into the rim, no drilling. It's pretty thick and they hold in the plastic solidly. If you're really...

    Single DIN touch screen

I got this ATOTO S8 head unit a few months back. Still getting it laid out the way I want it. I think I'm going to just be lazy and always use Android Auto with it. I got the ODB2 BT adapter with it and it works well - I'm looking at different Android apps that use it. Since I took this pic...

O2 sensor plugs don't match up

It took me two tries to order the correct O2 sensor, then I discovered that I was looking at the wrong sensor, and the first one would work after all. Then I tried to replace a second sensor, and I'm fairly sure I ordered the correct one after having learned my lesson, but the connector didn't...

    Soundbar speaker options

I bought this sub, but I haven't installed it yet. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B09TQ6BW2N/?tag=wranglerorg-20 My LJ never had the factory sub (although the console has the grille, strangely enough), so I'm going to have to wire it up myself. Procrastinating until spring so I can do my carpet...

    Soundbar speaker options

I have a .STL file you can 3D print to adapt the soundbar to 6.5 inch speakers easily. https://www.dropbox.com/t/2Cw77ZrATdpELdRy

What did you do to your TJ today?

I got rid of my check engine light issues once and for all today! My ODB2 port was smashed, and the CEL had been on since I got the jeep running. Turning the key 3 times showed me a O2 sensor code, so I replaced the sensor a month or so ago. Today, I was finally able to clear the codes and...

Tailgate rubber seal (not for hard top) question

I ordered from Amazon. Appears to be a good fit, channel notwithstanding. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07D5GYMH4/?tag=wranglerorg-20 I do not recommend installing this with the 3M adhesive when the temp is below 32 degrees - it simply doesn't stick in the cold. I had the trim barb holes already...

    Fixing a busted console lid

Blech. I got a neoprene cover that matches the seat covers.

    Fixing a busted console lid

When I was looking, the used ones were priced more than the new aftermarket ones, which I thought was crazy.

    Fixing a busted console lid

3D printing took a couple of hours and the cost of the filament is almost nothing. Largest expense was a tube of epoxy.

Tailgate rubber seal (not for hard top) question

Ahhhh...yes, I replaced my tailgate with one from another jeep back during the restoration.

Tailgate rubber seal (not for hard top) question

It's kind of weird how little information there is online about this particular weatherseal. I can't even find a picture of those channels on google image search. Regardless - if anyone finds this thread and is replacing the lower weatherseal - the best advice is to remove the existing channels...

Does this look like a rear main seal leak?

Sounds like a miracle. I'll give it a shot.

Does this look like a rear main seal leak?

I had Goodyear do my first oil change with this jeep because I was afraid I'd do something like break off the oil filter and not be able to drive the jeep to get it fixed. I believe they used high-mileage synthetic blend oil. Next change, I'll go with conventional high-mileage. Jerry- do you...

    Fixing a busted console lid

OK here's the wrap up. I didn't get it looking like new, of course. but it's solid and not terrible looking, honestly. Sanded (80 grit) and superglued. Sanded again (80 grit) First coat of Color Bond Sanded with 180 grit, then another pass with Color Bond, and this is what I'm calling...

Does this look like a rear main seal leak?

Does this look like a RMS leak? Not a lot of leakage, maybe 2-3 drops a week.

    Fixing a busted console lid

The only problem I have with JB Weld is it stinks to high heaven even after it cures.

    Fixing a busted console lid

This morning's update. I think it came out nice after epoxy! Clamping it even got out the sag in the middle. Now to sand, fill with superglue, and sand again to see if I can make it look good.

    Fixing a busted console lid

They are at least $80 now, which is ridiculous since a whole new center console is only about 3 times that.
