How to calibrate your speedometer using SpeedoHealer by HealTech

I just ordered the Healtech speedo healer for my '05 LJ Rubicon. Was surprised how easy it was to install and calibrate. It worked great

I also have a hard top. And it works just fine with the hard top. Don't get me wrong, the 3 ft that gets the antenna a little above the roof has much better reception, but if you're within I will half mile a mile of other Jeeps, the 24-in antenna is fine

I do have to make an adjustment to my original post, my 3 ft FS antenna was tuned. The 2 ft I had to adjust about 3/8 of an inch out on the tip. Also, my buddy found a spring at a gas station for 10 bucks that is about three times more stiff than the FS heavy duty spring. I did install that

    Wrangler TJ Gas Overflow Fix

Love this. I made two small deviations from these instructions. I marked the bottom of the hose so i could easily see it was oriented correctly (bottom is easy to see vs. feeling the top), and i took the assembly out. it popped off the tank pretty easily when the filler neck was out and the...

How to upgrade & replace your factory Jeep Wrangler TJ console subwoofer

I went a little different route to not lose space and not spend much money - but the outcome was good! I have a 2005 LJ with factory amp in center console . I took out the crappy factory sub, cut out the lip that it sat in, and installed a Pioneer TS-SW2002D2 subwoofer. It fit nicely, and only...

    Factory subwoofer wiring

I have a 2005 LJ with factory amp in center console . I took out the crappy factory sub, cut out the lip that it sat in, and installed a Pioneer TS-SW2002D2 subwoofer. It fit nicely, and only costs $70. Helps the sound out a lot, and fits in the center console of my LJ. Its a dual coil sub just...

What wire is the positive wire on the factory subwoofer?

Its a dual coil sub, and 2 ohm, which is also the same. The red and brown wires are positive, the grey and black are negative

I started out with a firestick FS-3' antenna with a Firestick heavy duty spring on a stainless steel taillight mount bracket. You can't go offroading with this setup as the antenna whips too bad and beats up your top. Plus, the antenna hits when i pull into my 7' garage door. On my second...

Where did you mount your extinguisher?

It may not be a big deal, but most fire extinguisher manufacturers recommend keeping them dry so that they don't corrode or rust. How I use my Jeep, occasional water in the fire extinguisher area on the seats side would be a concern.

Where did you mount your extinguisher?

I was thinking about along side the seat as it fits so well and looks good. I was a little concerned about a side impact, and rain (often run half or no doors with a top on). Looks good though.

Where did you mount your extinguisher?

I chose to move mine from the front of the drivers seat, because on occasion I move the seat ahead for someone to get in the back. In my LJ, it fit well in front of the shifter. It's only a 2 pounder, but fits well. First Alert Fire Extinguisher | Car Fire Extinguisher, Red, AUTO5

What are some good rear sway bars?

I have an LJ with a 4 inch lift. The previous older put a skyjacker lift on which has soft springs. Too soft. He puts stiffer ones in the rear and now the rear is too stiff, especially with my curry anti-rock up front. If yours is too soft I'm thinking your springs are too soft which is the...

    Fire Extinguishers

when i used to race stock cars, we were taught to put them below chest height and within arms reach. if you're on your lid and can't get out, you need to reach it to extinguish the fire. I like mine mounted where Jerry has his, floor in front of seat. If my LJ did not have a sub in the center...

    WTB: Currie Antirock

I just got mine from Extreme Terrain on 5/20/20 for $447. Found it cheaper at another site, but after two weeks and crappy communication, i cancelled that and ordered from a place that is great to order from. Had it 4 days later in WI. This improved my ride more than any other mod that i've...
