When I pulled the rear wheels off earlier, I was pulling metal from the inside of the frame which made me stop looking at what parts I should order to is this frame serviceable. Well I guess I will talk to the wife and see what we should do. Thanks for the input gents.

My apologies, I guess I took pics of the wrong area. My frame looks no where as bad as those, I attached a pic of the frame above posted.

Here are a couple more pictures I just took. I am not scared to replace parts that need to be replaced as the plan is to get this vehicle in good shape for my sons first ride. I have almost 2 years to work on it, but if the frame is bad I am not sure I want to invest it this.

Bought this 97 TJ last year and finally the weather has been nice enough to take a closer look. While looking at what I will need to replace suspension wise, I found some rust issues on the frame. I have read through some of the threads about this but looking for some advise on the best way...

I saw the plug you are talking about, looks like I need a whole new harness. The socket does not disconnect from the harness.

Thanks for that tip, I took that wiring harness off and ran a continuity test and got nothing. I am going to grab a new harness and see if that works.

So I have no lights just on that side even after replacing both bulbs. The connection inside the socket is a little corroded which I also checked to ensure the plastic inside it broken. Thank you for the link as well, as I might just see about replacing the connector since it might not clean up...

I have been trying to trace down a power issue on my 97 TJ, I am not getting power to the front passenger turn signal or marker light. I have checked the fuse behind the glove box it is good. Does anyone have a schematics I could see or direct me in a better way to start? Thanks, Dan

It is a 97, some rust underneath but not in bad shape. When I say to nice I mean a vehicle a couple years old. This is really the picture I have. It needs all new suspension and a new soft top. I will say it was a steal for $1,500 we paid.

I mean for a first vehicle I do not want him to have something to nice. Hopefully this will be a project we can work on together and he will appreciate it more. I would love to have an old Willy’s Jeep though. And thanks for the welcome!

Thanks for the input, replaced both O2 sensors, plugs and wires. Cleaned the throttle body and battery terminals. Runs a lot smoother and actually made my gas gauge operate now. Pics of old parts removed.

Thanks for the quick reply, there is no plans for ac in the Jeep as of now. I bought this for $1,500 so my son can learn how to drive and be his first vehicle. It is suppose to be 95 today so we will just drop the top if we take it for a drive.

Just did both O2 sensors, plugs and wires. Found this wire hanging around but would this connect to the AC compressor if I had one? Thanks. Dan
