    Bump steer / wobble

Well I ended up busting out the angle grinder and chopping that thing off. It wasn't budging no matter what I did to it. I also scored the splines just a little bit, but it shouldn't hurt anything. New pitman arm is on and it feels like a new jeep on these surface roads around here, bumpsteer is...

Thats kinda where i'm at right now tbh. I'm beating the hell out of this pitman arm with the puller on and tight and it isn't budging. If I hit anything more the neighbors are going to come over and hit the windshield and I'lll probably join them lol. This is the fun machine and I have a truck...

Broke another puller that I rented, so I'm two pullers down. Does that seem normal? Are there any tips to doing this other than beating it with a hammer?

I've looked through pretty much every single thread and every bump steer thread that has to do with a lift 4" and less the first thing they say is to get rid of the drop pitman arm. Also update: just broke my pitman arm puller looks like its about halfway off, headed to the auto parts store to...

    Bump steer / wobble

Alright my peeps, went to harbor freight and $30 later, I should be able to get this thing off. I don't think i'll need to do it again since, from what i've seen, I should be running a stock pitman arm even if I wanted to do a 4" lift. Would this be right? EDIT: I'm grabbing some beers and...

    Bump steer / wobble

Well just an update, I got my new pitman arm in and I was able to get my drive link portion off, but couldn't get the nut off of where the arm connects to the steering box. I have a big ass adjustable wrench on it and just couldn't get enough nut into it for it to turn. Gonna try getting a pipe...

Is the heim joint not needed? What should I do with it to make it right? The bushings don't look too terribly bad but could probably use replacing. I saw that and have it bookmarked already and was going to try and do that this weekend as well if I can find another person to hold the tape...

    Bump steer / wobble

Are there any normal causes for that? I did mention before that this jeep does have the lean on the passenger side, would that have anything to do with it?

    Bump steer / wobble

Yes, a stock one is what I bought. Do these help? Let me know if I need to get a different angle or something for you. EDIT: I don't think those were what you were asking for. Let me take some more at the frame side lol.

Also forgot to mention, I did the jump on the front bumper test and I can see my steering wheel go about a quarter to half a turn when I bounce on the front. Idk if that helps or not.

    Bump steer / wobble

Okay, that is a dropped pitman? I kept seeing people say on other threads but I didn't see anything on how to like tell if mine was dropped or not. I can buy a stock one right now, that's what I'll need right?

    Bump steer / wobble

Hey ya'll, my first post. Just got this jeep from a friend a couple of days ago and it's my second one. I had an 88 YJ and absolutely loved the thing, drove like a caddilac (not even kidding, people who rode with me were ridiculously surprised at how well it drove). But I have this 2003 now and...
