Thinking of selling, but not sure how to price it?

Ouch OK, thanks that makes sense. I need a new daily, I'm keeping my TJ and I'm interested in a JK. My girlfriends 3.6 JKU has had some issues so I test drove an 07 Rubicon with the 3.8. I realize the Rubicon had 4.11 gears and a stick shift which I don't want and it didnt feel bad. I guess if I...

Thinking of selling, but not sure how to price it?

Do you think the 3.8 automatic in a 2door JK would be adequate?

Upgrading the sound system on your Jeep Wrangler TJ

Yes the seat still works and it sounds pretty good for its price and size. If you want to rattle the car this isn't for you try a bazooka tube, if you just want to fill in the missing bass tones with a nice punch this is adequate.

Is it safe to run my TJ with new soft top through car wash?

I run a soft top year round also. I usually just pressure wash it myself, but in the dead of winter if my TJ gets any salt on it I bring it to the touchless wash right away. You will find out if you have any leaks that's for sure, but it hasn't damaged anything. Make sure you open your tailgate...

Upgrading the sound system on your Jeep Wrangler TJ

I put the same Polks in used the stock head unit and used the Rockville SS8P 8" powered sub mounted under the drivers seat. It fits if you pull the seat all the forward and slide it in from the back. Make sure you put the adjustments and plugs facing out so you can reach them...

Bilstein or Rancho shocks for smoother ride?

I'm in New England also. I went with the Rancho 5000Xs this summer and they definitely ride much smoother than stock shocks. I honestly would have bought Bilsteins if it wasn't for this forum, my previous experience with the old Rancho shocks in my XJ wasn't great. The combination of the new...

    Back in the day

If anyone wonders were my intense hatred of body work comes from I restored the 1964 Scout with my dad when I was 14 and hand sanded it about 4 times. The following year we did the then new CJs motor, stuffed in a Crower cam with heavier valve springs, Edelbrock SP2P intake, Holley 650 4bbl...

Anyone have an opinion on the Goodyear Wrangler Authority tires?

I tried to buy a set of those for my old XJ and the local Walmart refused to install any size tire that didn't come stock on the vehicle. You might want to ask them about that before you buy them in case you have to bring them somewhere else to get installed.

Lift for 31s? Need some guidance

I was talking about 15-20 year old stock springs sagging and wrongly assumed the Rubicon didn't have upraded springs. I also apologized for posting the wrong information 7hours before you posted this. I will gladly remove my post or edit it if it would make you happy. I've gotten lots of great...

Lift for 31s? Need some guidance

Yes the 31x10x16 inch tires with 3.76 inches of backspacing clear perfectly without rubbing on my stock 06 TJ. I have Rancho 5000s and the 15 year old sagging stock springs with factory bumpstocks. The stock Rubicon tires are 245/75/16 which convert to 30.5" x 9.7". I already apologized for...

Lift for 31s? Need some guidance

Regardless a fresh set of stock springs and some new gas charged shocks should lift it an inch or so in front. I know just replacing my worn factory shocks with gas charged Rancho 5000s lifted it almost an inch all the way around. I didn't mean to mislead anyone I wrongly assumed switching to...

Lift for 31s? Need some guidance

No they were generic 5" 16 emitter LED spotlights, definitely not cheap ones. They have two different covers clear and the diffusers that are on there. I wired them with a relay and they kept popping fuses until I got to 20amps, so they draw serious power and the heat sinks gets extremely hot. I...

Lift for 31s? Need some guidance

TJ Rubicon springs should be a little stiffer and even if they are not just putting new stock springs on will bting the front up an inch or two especially with a new set of gas shocks.

    Tips on restoring fender flares?

Just rub some peanut butter on them twicr a year it keeps them looking brand new and it's cheap.

Lift for 31s? Need some guidance

They only stick out about an inch maybe an inch and a half. A stock set of Rubicon flares would keep them from sticking out at all. I plan on adding some at some point. I can go outside and get you an exact measurement if you want.

Lift for 31s? Need some guidance

I run 31x10s with 3.75" backspaced American Racing rims, absolutely no rubbing at all. I would just put some new stock Rubicon springs up front and Rancho 5000s all the way around, that should level out the front and lift it slightly all around.
