    Possible Vacuum Leak?

I was hoping someone might’ve had a similar issue and could hear it on the video - it’s a long shot I know. I’ll try this smoke test. Maybe a manifold is loose or a gasket failed? I would think that would throw a code though. it’s a real gremlin.

    Possible Vacuum Leak?

I know, right! It is super weird that it doesn’t throw a code at all. I like this smoke test set up. Seems like it would a great tool to use. Definitely going to try this out if the shop doesn’t find the leak. Thanks for the info!

    Possible Vacuum Leak?

Hey Chris! Fixed the video so you can hear (see) it. I haven’t performed a smoke test before. How do you do that?

    Painting a hardtop

@Chris Had to revive an old thread here since I am working on a lot of things during this corona virus quarantine situation. One of my several projects is a complete refurbish paint job on the trim, fender flares, and my hardtop. When you painted your hardtop did you use any adhesion spray from...

    Wiper fluid motor not working

Not sure how much help I’m going to be but I will offer my thoughts brother. Process of elimination: you’ve got a good fuse / so that’s not the problem. You’ve tested the power going into the MFS and it registered / so that’s not it. Did you test to see if you were still getting power coming...

    Wiper fluid motor not working

Are you getting power to your pump? Could be as simple as a fuse or a dirty contact or something really silly like that. Check fuse (pretty sure there is one) Grab some contact cleaner from auto parts store and spray your connections, let them dry and and put your connections back together...

Hello from Colorado - TJ rebuild

Welcome @JeepTooth ! That’s a great project Jeep! You’re doing it right fixing it up with your daughter bubba. Keep researching and ask these guys for help. I know this forum has been incredibly helpful to me when tinkering around on my project Jeep. Quick thought on a 4cyl TJ with a lift &...

    2000 Wrangler Oil Pressure Problem

Put the new sender in yesterday morning (not mopar - duralast is all they had available) and my 03 is running great. If it fails again - i'll know to try a Mopar replacement, but the thing wasn't hard to swap out since i took your advice and picked up a 1-1/16" specialty socket for $7 off of...

    2000 Wrangler Oil Pressure Problem

Glad I found this thread. It confirmed my thoughts. My 03 has been running great, then today when running a quick errand in town the oil pressure dropped quickly and the check gauges light came on. I pulled into a parking spot, turned off the jeep and looked around in the snow...no leaks around...

    Howdy from Wyoming

Howdy bubba! I'll be relocating to Georgetown/Leander area in a couple months. I'd love to hook up with some veteran wheelers like you and @b0xcar. Think it would be a lot of fun. Could always jam out on the ol'git-fiddles too.

    Howdy from Wyoming

Haha! I definitely figured out the hard way that i-80 during winter is just a bad idea. The road is basically closed the entire time. It's crazy.

    Howdy from Wyoming

My neighbor has been telling me about the Big Horn Mountains. He has been a pretty strong advocate for taking the family up there for a weekend. Think I may need to try and go. Hopefully the roads stay clear enough to travel up.

    Howdy from Wyoming

I fell in love with it because it is an off-white, not bright white. Not quite tan enough to be Gobi. It actually reminds me of a late 60s model Ford I had. The color is very similar. I don't know if it is the original paint or if the border patrol painted it. How do you like those fenders...

    Howdy from Wyoming

I'm originally from the deep piney woods of East TX. I moved up to Wyoming last year and have truly enjoyed it. The fishing and hunting are phenomenal but what I've enjoyed more than anything has been the scenery. Pretty awesome mix of mountains and desert. There are long stretches of road...

    Howdy from Wyoming

Howdy y'all! Been a fan of this forum for a little bit. The sharing of information has been invaluable to me as I work through the gremlins in my 2003 Sport. This little TJ began life as a Border Patrol vehicle in South TX until it was purchased by a close friend of mine. He took this TJ...
