Warn 64337 tire carrier 2.5 inches too long

Turns out I had a MEGA old warn bumper that is deceivingly similar to the bumper that goes with the 64337 tire carrier. I have since got ahold of the correct bumper and just installed it....but now the brand new tire carrier sags so much on the bumper I can't get it lifted up enough to make it...

Warn 64337 tire carrier 2.5 inches too long

I just received my Warn 64337 tire carrier (I bought it off Quadratec) for my Warn Bumper (unknown model number). The tire carrier is too long to line up with the pivoting shaft on the bumper to the latching portion on the carrier by about 2.5 inches. This is on a 1997 Jeep TJ. The overall...

What did you do to your TJ today?

Popped in my Tom woods DC drive shaft and started hooking up the electricals for the air pump. I went with a covered switch to reduce the chance of locking the rear while cruising down the highway. Pinion angle is set at about 3* offset. Pretty fun arm wrestling with the control arms to get the...

What did you do to your TJ today?

Today I completed the SYE install. I took the TC completely out and I'm glad I did because man getting those lock rings off were brutal.... I took a dremel to one to get it off. Looks like the original 1997 TC case, but the internals looked really good, so maybe it was rebuilt not long ago. 2...

What did you do to your TJ today?

Replaced the ancient leaking steering box and steering pump. I went to remove the pitman arm and the nut holding it on was finger tight....I put the puller on there and the pitman arm slid right off when I pulled on it..... My steering is MUCH tighter now though :) I am glad to be alive.

    Detroit Locker det16c-66a pin removal

I’m trying to remove the axles from my dana 35... I thought I had a simple lsd in the rear but I’m pretty sure now it’s the model locker in the title. Does anyone know if this pin unscrews or if I smack it hard enough will it pop out? I can’t find any documentation or youtube vids for this locker...

What did you do to your TJ today?

Unfortunately I still have bad vibes due to what I believe to be bad rear axle bearings.... I'll be changing those out next weekend. While I had the rear jacked up I spun the the passenger tire and got some nice clunking noises. I also noticed that I can push and pull the whole wheel & axle...

What did you do to your TJ today?

Took my driver side door off for the first time... It fell over and broke the mirror in two spots. Turns out the high lift jack makes a great post to mount the busted one.

    Show Us Your Camp Photos

Went to West Virginia and did some camping alone. Slept in a hammock with a sleeping bag because there was no rain. Found some cool trails in the George Washington Forest. Boyyyy does she struggle going up hill on the mountain highways.

    Lots of track bar holes

Small update on this problem. I have not "fixed it" yet. I've driven about 1000 miles and done some mild wheeling. It has not busted yet, but you guys will know when it does. Thanks again for all of your advice, that's why I have joined this forum. Helpful people.

    Lots of track bar holes

Just replaced my factory track bar with a Currie one, and found this.... I popped the new currie TB in the factory hole, I’m guessing a PO drilled the other hole to bring the bar over enough.
