Hey y’all, I think I finally got the pattern looking good, tell me what y’all think. I’m going to decrease backlash just a little because as of right now it’s 7-10 tho and I would like to close that up to 5-7 just to give some break in tolerance.

This was the pattern with no shims behind the inner pinion race, I still have the oil slinger one (not the stock one but the one that came with the kit, it was about half the thickness).

My process has been pull everything out carefully. Unbolt the carrier and set it down, then unbolt the pinion and set it down then remove the inner pinion race, change the shims. Then put the pinion back in and put the nut back on and tighten it until I get 20 in/lbs of preload. (I did over...

I read up a little about the locker and it is different then a lot of others probably still suffers from the same problem as normal lunchbox lockers. But yeah it has some pretty neat extras that fix a few issues with the normal lunchbox.

I’ve never done a trail as of right now, I’m sure I will in the future but not until I can purpose build her. The only “hard” off-road use it gets is pushing through mud while trying to wrangle all the cattle up and some occasional mudding.
