    X2 Noico from Amazon. Throw a layer of that down and then replace your carpet. I used the 80 mil on my 79 chevy C20 and it made a world of difference. Plus, its affordable!

    Removing Roll Bar Padding

    Like its been said before, try oiling them up. If that doesn’t work, cut them. If you ever decide to replace me them look at the Smittybilt Molle roll bar covers. I have liked mine so far. $125 from Amazon.

    I Agree with MountaineerTom. If you want a rack to mount a tent to, I would suggest a full rack system. I would definitely not cut your soft top apart just to mount a rack. Even if you went with a factory hard top, it cant support the weight of two people and tent. For what you're looking to do...

    Anyone running a softtop and roof rack?

    I had a Gobi rack on my previous soft top TJ and I loved it. Only negative was the ladder on the back was a PITA to get the driver side rear corner zippers on and off. My current Jeep, I saved the $1,5xx and skipped the roof rack.
