Just changed the oil last week in my 02 Tj with 163k on the motor. No issue right after the oil change. Sat for a few days and I started it up and pretty sure I got piston slap for about 10 seconds. Then it went away. This morning. Same thing...for about 5 seconds. I used 10w40 castrol high...

Yes... I put the Supertop NX on my TJ last year...replaced the old version of the Supertop that had been on there for almost 20 years. It's essentially a factory top with Sunrider. Comes with new hardware. I put it on by myself in about an hour or so.

Well.. that answers my question. Definitely never ran without the tailgate. Someone recently smacked the shit out of it by backing into it when it was owrk e somewhere. Broke the tail light and dented it. Not sure if that's what it was or not. I'll get it checked out at a body shop. Thanks all.

I have been getting alot of nosie coming from the rear of the TJ recently. This is the issue. Broken welds on the tub passenger rear. Is this an easy fix or is there a bigger issue here? Thanks.

Any experience with Rancho springs? I am doing a shock and spring refresh on my TJ that currently has the original springs (158K) 2 inch spacers and Treraflex 9550 shocks I'll run the Ranch 5000x for shocks. Just curious about their Springs.

I Rhino Lined mine over 10 years ago.. Got sick of the noise and heat. I got the BedRug for the front and BedTred for the rear earlier this year. Worth every penny to me. Threw my Jeep floor mats on top of it in the front.. Works perfect.
