Should I get an adjustable track bar for a 0-3 inch lift?

That’s a good point, but I believe the RC bar requires more bumpstop to avoid interference than does the JKS. There are lots of trade offs, so it’s good to be aware of all of them when making the choice for one’s particular situation.

Should I get an adjustable track bar for a 0-3 inch lift?

Just be aware that you will have to drill out the frame side mount to install it and will likely have to add bumpstop to prevent contact between it and the diff cover when the suspension compresses.

    Ticking time bomb?

Without diving too deep into things or stirring the pot, there were a number of recent cases where the opposite was true. Others had demonstrated results with things he had never tried or experienced, but he would dig in and not acknowledge the possibility. Arguments back and forth ensued, he...

    Ticking time bomb?

While that sounds like a good plan to beef up your Dana 35 for your intended use, that is not a super 35. A super 35 includes 30 spline axles with a larger diameter than stock axles. It's important to remember that the stock axles are a weak point when subjected to larger tires and a locker...

    New SYE won't fit

That confirms my suspicion that the solution is a bigger hammer.

Correct, it can. I just didn't have the space for the open window.

I was eyeing the aluminum version but they didn't say what grade of alloy it's made from.

    Lange Hoist-a-Top

I'm just following up in this thread to confirm that the OP is a moron. Or, to quote one of my 11yo daughter's favorite artists, "Hello, it's me. I'm the problem, it's me." When I was test fitting the Lange hook, I was so fixated on watching it to ensure it was well positioned and didn't...

For all of us with two wheels also

Thanks, I agree it's a good looking bike. I just don't like having unused things taking up space. I'll probably come back to riding at another point in life, but right now with where I live and what time I have available I just don't enjoy riding.

For all of us with two wheels also

I've owned bikes, both street and dirt, off and on since I was a teenager. This is my current bike: I never ride this thing, I think I'm going to let it go.

What is the best way to buy a car in Texas from out of state?

I bought a vehicle from out of state (UT) and titled it in CO in 2022, and the sales tax charged was the amount on the bill of sale and not whatever the estimated value was. When did this change?

    Another Heater Core Thread

It's sad, but true. I was astounded with the lack of OEM support when I bought my first TJ a couple of years ago. The poor build quality / engineering is just icing on the cake. Other than the lack of OEM parts, I did kind of expect this before buying.

Interesting perspective. I think my concern with the aluminum options on the market is the lack of appropriate turbulator construction that results in plastic in your engine block, water pump, and/or radiator. If someone made an appropriate aluminum core with integrated turbulators instead of...

    Lange Hoist-a-Top

I thought of one more thing to try after reading your post in the other thread. Instead of inserting the Lange hook with the window fully open, I'm going to insert it with the window at an acute angle and see if I can gently close it.

What did you do to your TJ today?

Thanks for the response. The reason I was asking is because I bought the Lange adapter that allows you to keep the window closed, but I'm not sure I'm comfortable using it. It's pretty thick, the fit is AWFULLY tight, and I don't want to force the window closed.
