    97 TJ immobilizer problem solved

The ECU I ordered from Flagship One left me in the same situation as you John. Sent it back. You are better ordering with @Wranglerfix. It was a more expensive unit but it arrived quickly and he's a pleasure to deal with. Got my 98 TJ going again and I even might have a few more horses to boot...

    97 TJ immobilizer problem solved

Ken, I concur with Charles. I got my TJ going again and the old unit had been removed for a month or two before new one arrived. Remove immobiliser and skim before installing new ECU. I'm in Ireland also ken so if you need assistance just ask.

97 TJ 4.0 runs rough after PCM replacement

Yep did that, ran for a second, which was great to hear. If it was the immobiliser it should run then cut out yes? So thinking crankshaft sensor or fuel pump possibly.

97 TJ 4.0 runs rough after PCM replacement

Thanks bigeef, I got it from @Wranglerfix, who has sorted lots of people that had ECU problems so I've no concerns about the unit. I took a look at it there and it's almost starting, I get hear the fuel pump going but no fuel is getting to the fuel line. So that couldn't be the immobiliser? Must...

    Jeep TJ immobilizer help

Haha, in that case maybe I'll send it over with McGregor's signature, although he just gets his ass kicked these days, a bit like my jeep. Let me try to get in touch with may scofield first, see if they have any advice on getting around their system.

    Jeep TJ immobilizer help

Thanks Mark, stating to think that it could be the may scofield immobiliser. Guy called @Sam recently had similar problem https://wranglertjforum.com/threads/97-tj-immobilizer-problem-solved.46623/ but he mentions the car will be dead if you remove immobiliser before new unit arrives? Thinking...

    97 TJ immobilizer problem solved

Thanks for posting by the way, very helpful. Just worried I've killed the jeep by removing unit before new one arrived? Is this recoverable? The key light has at least gone out with the new unit. Both immobilisers reinstalled but jeep still seems immobilised.

    97 TJ immobilizer problem solved

Hi Sam, I'm having the same issue with a 97 TJ. Ordered unit from flagship one but didn't remove skim first so returned it. Then I got a rebuilt unit from wranglerfix, removed both may Scofield and skim but still not going. So immobiliser was removed before latest unit arrived. Any advice...

White letters in or out on tires? Question about looks

Another vote for white out, had 31 bfgs in white lettering, down sized for fuel efficiency but kept the white lettering with a set of gripmax all terrain, very pleased. Just need my damned ECU working then I'll be back on the road!! Good luck whatever you choose.
