    1997 Jeep 4.0 Clutch Issues

Hey fellow TJ folks .. I embarked a new clutch, pressure plate and throwout bearing today. Several issues on the clutch side ... some chatter but mostly an irritating stopped, can't get into gear behavior. I assumed this was a wasted pilot bearing and with 220k plus miles ... a good...

Looking for advice on 97 TJ 4.0 build

I tried some manual pump setups without success and went the arb compressor route. Purchased a CKSA12 compressor. Teed in a quick connect fitting and used a generac 0L2917A oil pressure switch (5 spi) to switch a relay for the compressor. I have a ball valve so I can get constant compressor...

Finally made some progress on my build. Complete Dana 44 Rubicon swap on the rear and a Powertrax Grip Pro/4.10 swap on the Dana 30. Very happy with the result. Still working on the pump for the rear locker. I was thinking about a manual hand pump setup but curious how others have solved the...

    New Front Seat Upgrade

A nice feature of the mini seats is the tip and slide of the seat has a high handle. Kinda have two motions to access the back seat...seat tip and slide and the seat base tip and raise.

    New Front Seat Upgrade

I finished the seat install today. Very happy but with a modification to the ratchet height adjustment on the mini cooper seats. Basically $60 for the seat pair (upullandpay) and some 1/4"x1 steel bar ($30). Pop and tilt works. The important piece of this swap is to lower the height pivot on...

Looking for advice on 97 TJ 4.0 build

I probably didn't explain that well. My desire is to remove the adapters. If I get axles with 5x5 bolt pattern then I lose the 1" of space in the adapter...

Looking for advice on 97 TJ 4.0 build

The spacer/adapters provide two functions...5x4.5 to 5x5 and setting stance a little wider. I've read some folks busting the spacer/adapters on hard trails. If I solve the 5x4.5 to 5x5 issue with axles then the stance is more narrow...no issue on the rear but further reduces turning radius...

    New Front Seat Upgrade

Finished the drivers seat and mostly happy. Few tweaks needed. Need to lower the front a bit. I believe I can easily get a 1/2" lower in the front by adjusting (hammer) the front riser. The tip functionality works. Huge improvement over stock seat. Amazing you can't get replacement seat...
