    RPM drop and shudder

I’ve searched the forum and have come up with some solutions based off similar issues but I wanted to post my situation to see what else comes up. 2006 wrangler 4.0 6sp 106k. Took it out for the first long drive (20 plus miles at highway speeds) after exiting and driving in stop and go every...

High RPM and possible vacuum leak

Sorry for all the posts…what I thought was a plastic fitting was actually like caulk…since I don’t know what was there before I’m assuming the caulk just sprung a hole…it is threaded so I’m guessing I can get a pipe plug and plug the hole but would prefer to put what should be there. So if there...

High RPM and possible vacuum leak

PS…I don’t see any wires that would have been connected. My search shows wires attached to some type of sensor maybe??? What am I missing??

High RPM and possible vacuum leak

Took the Jeep out for a little shake down today and the rpm’s started getting a bit high at a stop and between shifts (2006 I6 6speed). Popped the hood when I got home and it sounded like a vacuum leak. Did some investigating and found this…see attached. What’s supposed to be here? Put finger...

Looking for feedback on these spark plugs

Ok. The weekend was pretty productive vehicle wise..got the plugs and coil changed and instead of changing the pulley and belt I decided to hold off because the inlet tube for the water pump needs to be replaced (rusted bad) so since it looks like the idler pulley need to come off along with the...

Looking for feedback on these spark plugs

I did replace them with iridium tipped plugs recommended on this site and a new coil so I should be good for as long as I own this vehicle as I only plan on driving it a few thousand miles a year

Looking for feedback on these spark plugs

Thanks. Bonus if it was rebuilt I guess. It’s only a summer fun car so abuse will be limited (unless you consider me teaching the wife how to work a stick). Changing a few engine parts. Want it to be reliable. Engine and trans oils changed. Plugs and coil changed. Onto belt, tensioner, idler...

Looking for feedback on these spark plugs

Ok. Appreciate all the feedback this far from the forum. Just got around to changing the plugs and coil on my 2006. Thought on this…plugs and stickers. Again car had 100k so I’m going through the general maintenance. Car fax didn’t show an engine being replaced. Maybe it was/wasn’t….thoughts??

Not familiar at all with the 4.0l. Is it easy to service plugs, wires etc. probably could have done a bit more research on that aspect but rumor is the 4.0 is a great motor.

I just bought my first ever Jeep. Wife wanted a fun summer car and I want my kids to learn how to drive stick. So, here’s my question. I picked up a 2006 wrangler x with 100k, 6 speed and a 4.0l soft top with half doors. Drove it home without any problems (some130miles) it does have oversized...
