    Console subwoofer amp block-off plate?

I'm replacing the subwoofer and amp, but I want to retain the stock console subwoofer enclosure. Those of you that have done this, what have you done with the factory amp/wiring? I'd like to remove the amp and wiring, but there would obviously be a huge hole in the enclosure if I did that...

Dana 44 swap require a new driveshaft?

I got a good deal on a used Dana 44 out of a TJ and I want to swap it into mine. I currently have the stock Dana 35, a 2.5" lift and about a 3/4" t-case drop installed. I know the pinion snout is about 1" longer on the Dana 44. Will I need a new driveshaft when I swap the axle? Or can I get by...

Can you press Dana 44 bearings with a Harbor Freight 12-ton press?

I know the Harbor Freight 12-ton press is fairly inadequate, as far as presses go. But, is it physically large/strong enough to press the bearings on Dana 44 axle shafts?

New Cloyes timing sprocket (crank side) is too tight

I'm in the process of replacing the timing set on my 05 TJ 4.0 and I cannot get the new crank sprocket on. It binds on the key and is impossible to slide on. I tried lightly tapping it and it just gets more jammed on the key. The set I ordered was a Cloyes 90385SA from rock auto. Has anyone...

    1" body lift on 2005 6-speed

Has anyone successfully installed a 1" or 1.25" body lift on a 2005-2006 TJ with a 6-Speed manual? With or without a motor mount lift? Most of the kits I've looked at say that they are specifically incompatible with 2005-2006 manual transmission vehicles. I assume it's because of the shifter...

Proper break-in for new rocker arms and pushrods?

I replaced my rocker arms and pushrods on my 2005 4.0L. What is the proper break-in procedure? I’ve read to run it at 2800 RPM for 10 minutes, but haven’t seen that posted anywhere in the forums. The service manual doesn’t seem to have any info on it. Any advice?

    Weird NSG370 shifting issue

First post here. Looking forward to being a part of the community. I've owned several jeeps in the past (CJ, YJ, TJ and JK). I recently acquired an '05 X with the 4.0L and NSG370 6-speed. I'm noticing a weird shift behavior with it. When cold, it shifts relatively ok while maybe slightly...
