The unfortunate TJ of the day thread

Seems, from the Subway sign, that they don't even want them in their line... just stay away and order online.

    TJs in beautiful places

I like the look of your setup. What tires, wheels, lift has been done? I am very hesitant about going down the slope but this looks like what I would like to have.

Lets see your best Jeep memes

That slippery slope is what puts the pause in my modify plans. Still all original... but I would love the look of 32" tires but then I would need to do x, which needs y done, etc, etc, etc. If you give a mouse a cookie......

Jeeps Parking Next To Other Jeeps

I thought this was fun today. First, it is rare to park next to a Jeep in a parking lot... but here is my TJ parked next to two Jeeps... AND they are both 2 door models, an even lesser chance of happening.

Lets see your best Jeep memes

I think the mirror mount for when the doors are off is legit. Hard to see though... So, that is something, er, nice.

Who doesn't use their back seat?

I just folded mine up to the front seats... Gives me the room I need for stuff and keeps it handy just in case I need to use it. But, honestly, it has been folded up for quite awhile.

I've been unfaithful to my Jeep

List of American auto manufacturers now long gone

Wow.... I never would have guessed that many. Not by a factor of 10.

What did you do to your TJ today?

First, don't judge me for this new bling. It has been abnormally cold, snowy, gray for too long. The Jeep, having been a great vehicle for snowy roads is filthy. Saw bling on the bay, purchased, installed.

Do you need a wheel spacer to put JK wheels on a TJ?

Curious, Do I need a lift too? A slippery slope, I know.

    A CAPTCHA with a Jeep...er a car...er a Jeep?

I know, the horror... but to use this captcha, I had to call a Jeep a car. Sigh...

    Retirement

That is a rough spot to be in but life indeed does tend to throw curveballs.... often, it seems in my experience. You may have noticed in the graphic that this was step 3 in my one-pager. Step 2 was the emergency fund of 6+ months of moderately high liquidity savings. But, sounds like you...

    Retirement

Well recognized, rule of thumb is to save 15% of gross: First, max out your employer's match - let them give you money, right? Second, start a Roth IRA at major online brokerage (e.g., TD Ameritrade, Fidelity, etc), and work your way to 15% or max IRS contribution amount. If you are not at 15%...

    Remember when

Oh geez, forgot about those. Yes, I had those in a couple of cars... worked well.

    Remember when

Hey, that was my line: "We had remote control for our tv when I was growing up. My dad would just holler, "Change the channel to 7" and I would get up and change the channel." Magic.

    Remember when

Remember when you tuned your car's AM radio to the antenna to get the best reception? Remember when you were a kid and slept in the back of the station wagon when you were on a trip? Remember when your dad wouldn't let you put baby moon hub caps on the family car? Remember when you collected...

Your go to beer or liquor

Very close to my line: "if the head is tan, I will like it." Going out to brewery: Porter or brown ale Going out for drinks: Makers on the rocks. Hangin' at home: Jack or Jim on rocks or, if wanting a cocktail, a manhattan with Bulleit rye, Dolin red vermouth and peychauds bitters... seriously...
