I am selling my 2005 LJ. it has 154K miles, my daily driver. Upgraded stereo with subwoofer, Blue tooth. 2.5"lift with new wheels and tires 1 year ago. just passed GA emission. MT. clutch, waterpump, alternator, rear main seal have been replaced. ALL records including Window sticker. No rust...

loved reading it.... sorry you went thru it.... but i had a similar garage story when my jeep was on the lift, and garage was open, i lifted jeep into the raised garage door and knocked it off the tracks, but was able to finagle it back together in 20 min.... , If it makes you feel any better...

I think the top has shrunk a bit and just needs to sit in warm sun a while.. I read owners manual better and now understand what I needed to to... sorry for asking dumb question!

My friend Tim came over and we removed the LJ hardtop, and battled with an ebay find ...trying to install a briefly used soft top. Mission accomplished. took us 2 hours, but was first time. I am confused though-— if I want to open the top completely, do I have to remove the "pull pins" that...

the knob faces the rear of the car but I dont see why it would get damaged.. its unobstructed.... pls advise// if its just because its exposed and will get whacked when wheeling, I am oK as thats not what i use my jeep for .

Oh, and for what its worth the prior owner had the ranchos for 0" lift ( even though had a 2" lift on it) and when I talked to rancho support they recommended going up in size.. as others have noted, the increase size is minimal; what I can tell you it i am very happy with the 9000xls

Today i removed Rancho 5000 ( the old type-- they suck) and put in 9000XL- adjustable.. love em... The jeep rides like a different vehicle.. I chose the 9000xl over the 5000X because in my local driving the potholes and speed bumps were killing out 55year old backs and needed something to soften...

new shocks tires and wheels! drives great.

FOLLOW UP= Just finished 4 hours in the garage.. replaced the old Rancho 5000 shocks with new Rancho 9000XL. fixed the bump stops after replacing the shocks so there is correct range based on the shock travel. replaced the 20" wheels and tires with new 17". I still cant believe the Prior Owner...
