Jeep TJ Blackwell Canyon Rd, Walker Ca

Currently the TC is dropped from the previous lift but after installing the 4" I have some new vibrations, so a SYE is on the short list. I never liked the TC drop and planned on the SYE anyway but now it's a priority.

Jeep TJ Blackwell Canyon Rd, Walker Ca

Thank you. 33's, P.O. said it was a 3 1/2" unknown brand. I have (since the video was taken) replaced it with a 4" Pro Comp and it sits 1-1 1/2" higher in the front and about 2" higher in the rear. So a very settled 3 1/2", and for what its worth the 3 1/2" lift needed a 1 3/4" spacer after the...

Jeep TJ Blackwell Canyon Rd, Walker Ca

Here's a video from a couple months back. Really cool area, near by River with camping spots, lots of trails and if you happen to find yourself there in the warmer months grab a burger from Walker Burger!

Is there a way to wire headlights to turn off when you turn off the ignition?

Here is a good site for relay wiring projects, also has some wiring info for different makes and models, and has the above mentioned delayed off for headlights. https://www.the12volt.com/

    The great locker debate

I have had a Lockrite in a different, much heavier vehicle, and it was great for several years until I broke it. Honestly I abused it and I failed not it, I would consider them again. I have not researched or experienced all these lockers as some of you have but here is where I'm at; I would...

What does it typically cost to replace a timing chain?

The difference would be that the computer can make adjustments based off of the cam sensor and crank sensor. A distributor could not make the same adjustments. FYI: The Haynes repair manual recommends replacement if there is a 1/2" of deflection.

Things you’ve found in a used vehicle

I bought a 2000 dodge ram several years ago and found a wedding band set in the ash tray along with a bunch of change. I returned them to the owner. Weeks later I was replacing the missing spare tire and when I opened the pouch for the handle to crank the tire up I found $100 bill. I kept that...

What does it typically cost to replace a timing chain?

Are you comfortable or able to wrench on it yourself? Timing sets are more intimidating then difficult.

What does it typically cost to replace a timing chain?

With that code and it being off by 17* I don't know how the timing set could not be the problem. Unless someone was in there before you bought it and set it up wrong , the only way it could change it's self is by jumping by being too stretched/worn. Either way it should be inspected. I mentioned...

What does it typically cost to replace a timing chain?

It may not ever fail, but they do stretch and wear. I don't know on the 4.0 but manufacturers do have replacement schedules for parts, if I had to guess, it is likely at 100,000.

What not to do to your LJ...

Never been a fan of the whole grille being chrome. However I do like the chrome beauty rings on the slots and head lights. When I bought my TJ the slot rings were not shiny anymore so I searched for some new and saw this set that had billet bars in them as well as the chrome rings, I thought...

If you could have any other stock Jeep vehicle...

I'd take a Track Hawk. I...well, the wife has what could be said to be the poor mans Track Hawk, a 16 Cherokee 75th anniversary with the 3.2L and 9 speed auto stick. The thing is quick, comfortable, and if your nice it'll get 30 mpg.

This Subaru Crosstrek has itself confused with a Wrangler

I wonder how much that affected their mpg? Wait never mind they don't care they spent a crap ton of money to still not quite get there.

    Clutch Replacement

Following up in case others have the same symptoms, this is what I found. Throw out bearing was squeaky/crunchy and one of the retainers were broken Pressure plate was worn pretty bad, the ends of the springs were as sharp as a razor The disc still looked good but was getting close to the...
