    Southeast states ice storm

Probably not the right place for this, but that was a wide band of ice storms that came through North Mississippi up through Nashville, Tennessee, and every little town and community in its path. It put these places almost to a complete halt no electricity no water no heat unless you had gas...

    Shocks for outboarding

When outboarding rear shocks on a 97 Jeep TJ with 4” suspension lift and 1 “ body lift, and 35” tires, what Fox shocks / length shocks typically go with that setup ??

Where do I go from here with my suspension?

No . 1. Before I changed my shocks out was when I busted one of them with to short of bum stops or bent shock rods due to shock mount not being in the right place. 2. New shocks not at 50/50 yet. But soon will be. And bump stops will work just fine with them. Still need to move shock...

Where do I go from here with my suspension?

Working on that now. It’s not 50/50 yet. I ordered new rear springs for a 4” lift , I’ll bet that’s going to even them out perfectly

Where do I go from here with my suspension?

I did take springs ,shocks , bump stops , and track bar loose and pushed the axle up to the top of the spring perches. And they met almost perfectly. And nothing else got In The way. Thanks for the article!

Where do I go from here with my suspension?

Hey don’t stop there. Tell me why not . Sounds like coil overs dont work well on stock axles ?? But outboarding regular shocks will ?

Where do I go from here with my suspension?

Really it’s just the fact that there is much more room in the wheel well for the tire to move and it’s limited by shock length and the only way to solve that is to outboard the shocks and gain much more movement in the rear. At least that’s what I think.

Where do I go from here with my suspension?

It’s always something that gets in the way of movement. I have all this room to move but the shocks limit your motion. Or you have to get a taller lift. Then the short arms start to bind and seem to twist the axle. I remember you having a lot done to your suspension to reach the best of all...
