    Power steering switch code P0551

    A friend of mine just bought a 1997 TJ and check engine light code gave P0551 power steering switch. Autozone part is $40 dollars anyone have an idea how east the switch is to replace?? It is easy access on the high pressure line. Thanks for any advice.

    Rear drum brake leak?

    Did my rears earlier this year...same thing cylinder leaking. Take some good photos once you have the drum off and you will be able to get all the springs back on correctly. There are also so good youtube videos of TJ rear drum work that i found helpful.

    Jerry, Only a 2 inch leveling lift on the front and tires are 265/75/16 BFGoodrich .

    What trailer wire plug did you use. That's something i need to do. The hitch is there but no wiring! I have been worried about trying to splice into the existing wires!!! Is there an easier way??? Thanks for any info.

    Imapepper and Sancho, Thanks for the info. I'll just live with the creeking and no longer worry. If I begin to have function issues or slipping I will have to reconsider!

    Ohio, Thanks for your reply. It makes the noise with engine not running and with engine running, but only in neutral! Once you put it in gear with engine running and release clutch it is quiet. Is that any help in determining the cause??

    I have noticed the same thing and it sounds like compressing a spring. I got under to listen to the clutch slave cylinder while someone depressed the clutch and it is definitely the slave. Did you fine the solution or is it not anything to worry about?

    Hey All. I'm wondering how you organize your sockets??? I picked up a box 112 loose craftsman sockets on the cheap at a pawn shop. Includes 1/4 ,3/8, and 1/2 drive standard and metric. Do you use the cheap 99 cent metal socket holder from harbor freight or are there magnet ones that work...
