    Clutch Release Bearing Shootout

Thanks for the input Jerry! I follow most your advice you post on the forum! I am wondering though if the throw out bearing used by the factory was a metal one vs the plastic style I keep hearing folks talk about now. Could LUK have changed their clutch kit since the Jeeps were made and now come...

Jeep Wrangler TJ Camshaft Position Sensor Replacement

I remember it being a little tough in the spot it's in but I think you press down on the tab and pull back. Spray some oil on there where it slides and the bolts. Mine were very tight and rounded easily FYI.

Savvy tummy tuck / under armor install

Thanks for the advice. Like I said though, as of now, nothing seems to be giving me any vibes surprisingly. I didn't do any measurements on axle centering other than the old eye ball check 🧐

Savvy tummy tuck / under armor install

Hmm never heard that yet. Currently it drives pretty well in my opinion with no noticable vibration. The front pinion did seem like it was about 2 degrees less than the front driveshaft though which I've read is not set right. Will most likely need to adjust front upper arms for that since the...

Savvy tummy tuck / under armor install

When I set my magnet finder on bottom of rear pinion. It came in right about 26 When I set it on the driveshaft. It was about 26 also. I did it this way because it was the best place to set it and feel sturdy for a reading. If this is incorrect. Let me know.

Savvy tummy tuck / under armor install

Yea I'll have to order an idiot proof digital one and check it out. Be nice to have one anyways. If you're not in a huge hurry. I'll do that and post back. When I get it.

Savvy tummy tuck / under armor install

Honestly I'm not sure. I read where you basically just set the rear pinion in line or just a degree or so below the top double cardan ujoint and then the same with the front only a little higher and so far it drives fine with no vibes up to about 60mph. Also little update. I was able to mash the...

Savvy tummy tuck / under armor install

I'm in the same boat on that. Did you have to drill holes where it looks like it mounts to the other skid? Don't remember seeing any on that side. Unless I put it on backwards haha 😂 also I didn't mash the tub up in and I'm pretty sure the TCase is against the tub. It sounds good aweful inside...

Is it a bad idea to go with a remanufactured brake booster?

Thanks for all the input and suggestions. I took the caliper off last night and started cleaning and lubricating all mating surfaces and guide rods with silicone brake grease only to find that the piston would hardly compress back in at all with a big c clamp even with the bleeder cracked open...

Is it a bad idea to go with a remanufactured brake booster?

I understand that, but I thought maybe I was having an issue with mine based on my observatios because I don't know much about them. Still possibly could be, not sure until I take the suggestions and try them first.

Savvy Under Armor / Skid Plate Install Write-Up

I'm gonna try to do mine soon I think but I relocated my locker pumps on driver fender in the bracket they hang on a while ago. I suggest doing it to keep them out of the mud. Don't really have to worry about that now.

Probably my fault. Brought new attention to it with a brake issue.

Is it a bad idea to go with a remanufactured brake booster?

That's crazy about the bag haha. Bad luck. Hopefully when I grease those guide pins up, I won't have any more issues. I'll admit, I never knew to do that.

Is it a bad idea to go with a remanufactured brake booster?

Ok I'm gonna try to take it off tonight and do that I think as well as clean everything really well. Hopefully it makes a difference.

Is it a bad idea to go with a remanufactured brake booster?

My pedal isn't squishy and seems to react fine in my opinion. Doesn't go to floor at all. Might react a bit faster than most to be honest.

Is it a bad idea to go with a remanufactured brake booster?

Ok thanks for explaining that. But my point is, all my brakes have locked up at some point or the other and occasionally still do. (Front passenger being most frequent now) seems unlikely that all my old calipers were and now all my new calipers are sticking slightly as well. I saw on a forum...

Is it a bad idea to go with a remanufactured brake booster?

I thought maybe something with the master cylinder, brake booster, proportioning valve or something of that nature might be failing... Just from some stuff I have read and heard. Would any of those components jump out as a potential issue before the other?

Is it a bad idea to go with a remanufactured brake booster?

I bled the system so much every time I did work and especially the last time that I'm pretty sure it's almost all new brake fluid at this point. If that makes sense.
