This question may only be relevant to Australia, but how do you get around the parking light requirement here? One option I was thinking was to wire the parking light to the DRL/Halo in lights that have them, but the Trucklite style don't seem to have the DRL/Halo...

I'm waiting on a Smittybilt SRC roof rack to arrive in a couple of weeks, weather is warming up and need to be able to get out in the kayak.

Huge improvement, no more getting thrown left to right getting over the driveway kerb and much more settled on the road. The kids are disappointed though no more roller coaster rides.

Job done, had no problems getting the top rear bolts out and they were in good shape. The hardest part of the job was getting the rear shocks back in the bottom brackets. I also put plenty of anti seize on the rear top bolts before reinstalling, not that I am expecting to revisit this job any...

Today i replaced front & rear shocks with Bilstein B6 offroad units. The OEM front's that were in there weren't in too bad shape, but I can't believe how shot the rears were. One had barely any resistance, but at least returned back to fully extended when unloaded, the other one barely made it...

Thanks guys. I've sprayed them good this arvo with Selley's RP7 (never seen PB Blaster for sale here), but the bolts looks in good shape. Considering the winters here get to a chilling 6 degrees C minimum, we don't have salted roads, so I'm feeling pretty confident, will be giving it a go tomorrow.

I would love it if LJ's were available in Australia, but I am very happy with the TJ. That sweet 4.0 just makes me smile! And I can park in the lone small car spot at the local supermarket that is always vacant, very handy for the beer run. :dancer2:

I have on the way front & rear Bilstein B6 offroad shock absorbers (stock to 40mm lift) to replace the flogged out OEM's (front) and POS Repco's (rear). Any tips on removing the old ones? I've heard the upper bolts on the rears can be a PITA to remove and are prone to snapping, so I would...

I should have known, as a man of 45 years, that the knob on the end of the shaft needs a twist after pulling on it! I now have a working rear fog light!

Sweet as a nut. The old plugs were pretty good but gapped at about .045. The difference in idle smoothness is noticeable. The OPDA went in very easily, just reused the OEM sensor on it as advised

Today I replaced the spark plugs, OPDA, adjusted the front toe in and gave it a good wash!

The amount of useful info on this forum is fantastic! This weekend, I have the following jobs lined up to do: OPDA replacement - I had no idea this was an issue until I joined here, the write-up on it makes it look pretty easy... Wheel alignment - I can't believe it looks so simple to do...
