The fortunate JK, JL of the day thread

Very nice and very interesting. That looks like it started life as a JK, then they chopped the back and now they have put a front JL clip on it. Those are JL fenders, grill and hood.

By "AC" he means it's actually an Air Conditioning compressor that has an attachment on the back to turn it into an Air Compressor.

Is it wrong that my pants got slightly tight at the sight of those wheels?

    Smittybilt X20 winch on sale

If I was looking at Shittybilt, I'd close my eyes, turn slightly right and buy a Rough Country instead, a that price point. At least RC stands behind their stuff even after warranty I believe. Needless to say I am NOT a fan of Shittybilt.

That engine looks like it's radioactive... lol.

Well I can say that I LOVE my Power Tank CO2 setup BUT I will say at a price tag of $900 I would never have bought it... it came with the Jeep. Until that we used a little Viair Compressor off of Amazon for like $55 and it worked well. Some guys run dual ARB compressors. So you can go from a...

The fortunate JK, JL of the day thread

I don't know... maybe I'm over thinking this but they've literally reduced the amount of air flow through that grill by 50%, not the best idea.

Yep, that and the general lay of the land, it's unmistakable once you've wheeled there. Sadly I never did the front side of Daniel, only the backside and every other trail. Bit of a bummer because we have moved to Hurricane UT. Sand Hollow is now 10 miles from my garage so I'm not complaining...

Those look like Raceline beadlocks, what makes you think they are Chinese junk? Sadly many big names produce at least some of their stuff in China. Granted they are built to our specs and with materials we want so they are better than the real cheap Chinese junk.

    Rear window weatherstriping

Went into my Quadratec history and I ordered the Fairchild one. It worked great. https://www.quadratec.com/products/55006_0012.htm

    Rear window weatherstriping

I can't find it on my orders from Extreme Terrain so I must have gotten it from Quadratec.

    Rear window weatherstriping

Hmmmm... actually I think that's the one I got and not from Quadratec. Wow mine was tight with the new seal.

    Rear window weatherstriping

What gasket did you put around the hard top to seal against the window? I got mine from quadratec.

    Rear window weatherstriping

I loosened both the hinge bolts that go through the glass and pulled the window down as hard as I could and held it there while I tightened the bolts back up. It was a PITA and required some arm flexing but it got me over an 1/8" lower which helped a lot. The reason you need to hold it there is...

I'm new here from North Carolina

I've been to Uwharie many times and have run everything except the front side of Daniel and I will probably never go back to Uhwarie. Why? Because we are literally moving to Hurricane UT as I type this!!! Yep, Sand Hollow will be 15 mins down the street from us so that will be our new playground...

Do hard top and soft tops both use the same tailgate retainer bar clips?

I had a 2004 LJ and left the brackets on no problems.

Do hard top and soft tops both use the same tailgate retainer bar clips?

I had a hard top and those clips you removed were left on in my case. You want those clips back on and the gasket lays over them. Also adding the rubber tubing to the top of the tailgate does wonders for snugging things up.
