How bad is wheelspin on pavement?

Next question will be how to prevent the exhaust from popping and spitting flames.

Why is low testosterone so prevalent in young males

I think the carnivore diet differs for everyone. I did it for several weeks and noticed a huge boost in energy, metabolism, muscle growth, and weight loss. Another byproduct was that I wasn’t near as hungry and didn’t need to eat near as much all the time. The key is you should be eating all...

Wildman's TJ is getting a face lift

What about an airbag module from 01-02? Those are PCI models and they didn’t eliminate the airbag module under the dash until 03.

How many of us here play guitar?

I’ve been playing about 19 years now. I love playing bass equally to electric. Zeppelin has always been my favorite and John Paul Jones is my bass inspiration. Listen to the Lemon Song and you’ll understand why. Been through lots and lots of different equipment over the years but my three prized...

Need help with a clunking on acceleration from a stop

Is the rear pinion nut loose? That can make a nice clunk if the pinion is shifting under load.

    05 Flame Red TJ Build

I’m curious about this. @mrblaine has repeatedly said that the bushings need to be Clevite but I have never been able to find a celvite “brand” bushing. I know it’s supposed to be bonded with the sleeve, but I’m guessing materials can very. I don’t ever remember seeing it stamped in mine. Mine...

    Max JK tire size?

Thanks! I think at the time this one had a 2” lift with a 1” body lift. I don’t know what brand of springs it had but they were an interesting color. Never could identify them.

    Anna’s Y2K TJ

How much lift are you planning on? I would stick with stock style control arms up to 2”. Just adjust the steering stops slightly so the tires don’t rub on the arms. Nice looking Jeep. Good find. I had a 2000 as well with 52k on the clock and it was reliable as could be.

    33's - Is this what I need?

If you live in a place like the Midwest where it’s flat then I think 4.56 would be just fine. I live in the mountains with lots of grades and hills and 4.88 would have been ideal for me. We always recommend gears with highway in mind. Don’t let the 3k RPMs scare you. That’s the happy/efficient...

    33's - Is this what I need?

I remember from your other thread you mentioned you were in a hilly area. For the 5-speed I would go 4.88 if you go 33s, puts you about 3k RPM at 75mph. I remember having 33s and 4.56 and while it was more than adequate, a little more would have been nice. Theres a lot more weight and rolling...

    Regear from 3.07 to 4.10

You’ll notice a significant difference. 31s don’t have that much of a rolling radius so even in a hilly area, the 4.0 with 4.10 should have no issues pushing you along. You can take off in second gear a lot of the time, even in the 5-speed. My manual Rubi with 31s and 4.10s was great to drive...

Silver LJ with grey hardtop pictures

I don’t have any on an LJ but I do have few on a TJ. I wasn’t sure I would like the look initially but it ended up being a nice combo.

    Hard Top Texture

Maybe @jscherb would be willing to chime in. He’s a master in his craft with fiberglass and I think he managed to successfully repair a JK top with similar texture.

    2005 Rubicon; A Rubi Brother

Thanks for chiming in. I've seen the thread where folks have done the extra 1" or so by bringing the eyelet above the crossmember. I found a couple of other threads where folks have successfully bored out the hole to about 2-1/2". These shocks are 2" in diameter so I see no reason why this...

    2005 Rubicon; A Rubi Brother

What’s up friends and….other people?? It’s been a minute but I still have stuff in the works! I have been using the Jeep and it’s has been performing beautifully with the new tires and suspension setup. First off, I got a bumper set from @Fluxor since any hope of Savvy continuing their version...

I think a Murray from O’Reillys because I needed one quick. But it was stamped Motorad, go figure. It’s working fine so far.

    Opinions on CSF radiators

I’m still using CSF in my current Rubi. I’ve had it for three years now with no issues. I started having an overheating issue this summer but it ended up being a failed thermostat. Been fine since.
