Two questions: 1) Should I use a gasket sealant or just the gasket for the pump and thermostat housings? 2) What should the bolts be torqued to? Thanks, Jim (installing Mopar water pump now)

I'm working on my rear axle, and ordered a master rebuild kit. It came with a gasket however it seems that everyone just smears on RTV and it works fine. Just wanted to know what everyone's preference is.

I need to replace the exhaust manifold gasket on my 05 TJ Wrangler X with the 4.0 6 cyl. The job doesn't look that bad, and I really don't want to pay $400 in labor to have a garage install the $30 gasket. Anyone done this? Anything to be aware of that makes it tricky?
