So I recently acquired an 06 LJ, and when taking off the aftermarket fenders I snapped some of the bolts that go into the firewall… woof. While trying to extract one bolt I accidentally punched the existing nut into the tub, and there’s no way to access it internally. I recently discovered...

So I took my skid plate off a couple months ago after I bought it to diagnose my transmission leak and also clean it. Well I stripped the nutserts pretty good and It was a PITA trying to screw the bolts back in because there were barely any threads left, I am actually running 2 bolts on one side...

How do you deal with loose nutserts? Put my new fender flares on today and I have one nutsert that is loose. Luckily the back side is accessible so it should be easy to put a pair of small vice grips on it and tighten the bolt down, but if one is loose eventually there are gonna be more.
