windshield replacement

Hey yall,I wanted to ask if anybody in the DFW/ Arlington area have had their windshield replaced and if so how much did you pay and where ? I'm looking at safelite and they're charging 300 which I find to be reasonable since they come out to you, Any experience with them for you guys?

Anyone here ever replaced their own windshield? I got a quote of almost $300 to have it done at a shop, but I can buy the glass and materials for ~$150, it seems pretty straight forward, especially if you took the whole windshield frame off and laid it flat.
